Lisa Vanderpump Hasn't Be In Contact With Raquel Leviss
In a recent conversation with ET, Lisa Vanderpump shared that she hasn't communicated with Raquel Leviss since filming the "Vanderpump Rules" season 10 reunion on March 23.
When questioned about the future of Leviss and Tom Sandoval in the "Vanderpump Rules" universe following their scandalous affair, the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star expressed that she hasn't had any recent contact with Leviss. "I think she really needs to discuss with us what's going on in her life, but Sandoval's been part of that group for 15 years prior," she shared. "You know, four years before the show."
Given Sandoval's history on her television program and their business collaborations, the mom-of-two said she hoped Sandoval could reconcile with his castmates. Referring to Sandoval and Leviss, Vanderpump stated, "That's what I hope for them. I don't think you can just shut the door on somebody. I think we're all guilty of some things... maybe not that. But there must be some discussion, and I think we'll be there for it."
Lisa Vanderpump Admits That The 'VPR' Final Episode 'Was Hard To Watch
Sharing her sentiments, Vanderpump confessed that the "Vanderpump Rules" finale episode "was hard to watch," adding that it "was filmed quite a bit after we finished filming the season. And so, it's just so raw."
She admitted that it was "hard to watch" due to the intense emotions it stirred within her. The reality TV star disclosed that the episode was filmed sometime after the completion of the season, adding to the rawness of the events unfolding on screen.
As a producer, Vanderpump admits that she usually enjoys the "all ins and outs and shenanigans" of the show but that it becomes challenging for her when she is emotionally invested in the group.
"My heart broke, actually, for both of them," she confessed. "Of course, what he [Sandoval] did... it cannot be condoned in any way, shape or form. But still, to see the utter misery and the devastation of the fallout."
These revelations come in the wake of Sandoval and Leviss' separation, occurring just two months after their affair was exposed, leading to the end of Sandoval's nine-year relationship with Ariana Madix.
Lisa Vanderpump Says She 'Didn't Take Sides
During an interview with E! News at the Vanderpump Dogs Gala on May 18, Vanderpump shared insights into her conversation with Sandoval during the season 10 finale of "Vanderpump Rules."
In her unique approach to supporting this group of friends, Vanderpump revealed that she does not adhere to strict rules. So when Sandoval approached her after his split from Madix and the exposure of his affair with Leviss, the restaurant owner chose not to "pile on" the catastrophe by taking sides.
"I didn't take sides with Tom; I condemned what he did," she shared. "You know, I can't write him off as a person because he had an affair. The way he handled it, yes, of course."
She continued, "I feel like a mother to some of these children. So, when he's been criticized by the whole world, what will I do, pile on? No, I'm going to try and have a modicum of—not empathy, I don't have empathy—but a modicum of hope. Maybe for the future."
Raquel Leviss Seeks Treatment At Mental Facility
In April, Leviss sought treatment at a facility to address her mental health. According to a source who spoke with ET then, "Raquel and her family decided before the relationship was discovered that she would enter a voluntary facility for mental health counseling."
The insider added, "She was scheduled to go in pre-reunion but decided she wanted to finish her filming commitment. Bravo and production were aware and supported her journey towards better mental health."
In a statement released in March, Leviss shared her commitment to self-reflection and seeking guidance from a counselor following the exposure of her affair. She acknowledged her behavior, stating, "I am reflecting on my choices, speaking to a counselor, and I am learning things about myself, such as my patterns of codependency and addiction to being and feeling loved."
She added, "I have sought emotional validation through intimate connections that are unhealthy without regard for my well-being, sometimes negatively affecting others and often prioritizing the intimate connection over my friendships. I am taking steps to understand my behavior and make healthier choices."
