Miley Cyrus Reveals She's Been Undergoing Eye Movement Therapy For Over A Year

Miley Cyrus has revealed she did a lot of "helpful" eye movement therapy for over a year.

The hitmaker made the revelation as part of an interview for her cover appearance for Vogue magazine a few days after she released a sensual music video for her song "Jaded."

Speaking with the publication, Cyrus said the therapy has helped her deal with many "painful memories" by "deleting the physical sensations" associated with the traumatic experiences.

The singer also noted that she mostly hangs out with gay men who share her love for fitness, adding that she is now "sober."

Cyrus revealed she had been undergoing eye movement therapy for over a year to help her deal with painful memories. The thirty-year-old singer shared the tidbit during an interview with British Vogue as the cover star for the magazine's June 2023 issue.

Although she wasn't specific about the painful memories, she said she has been seeing the "amazing" healers as part of her counseling for over a year.

"I did a lot of EMDR. It's so helpful," said the singer, who is now dating musician Maxx Morando, 24, following her divorce from actor Liam Hemsworth in 2020.

Cyrus then explained the details of the therapy and how it helped her come to terms with her past traumatic experiences. "Essentially, you delete the physical sensations associated with these painful memories. The EMDR helped me," she continued.

The singer said she is no longer an alcohol addict, adding that she now prefers to "hang out" with "gay men" who are passionate about fitness just like her.

She said about her friends, "So they come over, and we do a whole class based off of Nicki Minaj, or we have a Britney series. I have a Madonna Vogue series, which is doing the entire bow choreography with our little weights."

Cyrus' love for journaling also came up in the interview, with one entry from her private writings referencing the singer opening up about making "choices that I'm proud of that protect me" and putting her "mental and physical health before a paycheck. "

It also touched on how the singer is now focused on doing what she loves, such as "working out, eating well, learning ways to enhance [her]."

As part of her cover appearance for Vogue, which marks her first time appearing on the magazine cover, Cyrus sizzled in various dresses that fully displayed her gorgeous body.

In one shot, Miley flaunted her toned and tattooed physique in a satin green bra and miniskirt in one image. She then changed into a provocative red lingerie ensemble and lay down while wearing black mesh gloves.

Two more monochromatic images of the singer were released; the first featured her in a one-piece that wrapped around her neck and barely covered her privates, while the other showed her in a second, equally breathtaking one-piece that she wore over a mesh cover-up.

For all of the photographs, Cyrus wore her hair loose and let it fall over her shoulders. She also adorned her face with flawless makeup.

A few days ago, Cyrus debuted the music video for her song "Jaded" from her latest album "Endless Summer," which she released two months ago.

The singer could be seen lying on a bed topless in the video's opening scene and singing about regret and wasted opportunities due to a past relationship. In other locations, the "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker donned a metallic gold one-piece swimsuit, a bedazzled black bra, and a black swimsuit with sexy cutouts.

Her full brunette hair was displayed for the first time since she starred in the Disney show "Hannah Montana." Shortly after the video dropped, fans of the singer speculated that the song was about her ex-husband, Hemsworth.

The same speculations have been made about her smash hit song, "Flowers," which dominated the Billboard Hot 100 at number 1 for multiple weeks.
