Amber Heard seems to be enjoying life in Madrid, Spain, but it looks like the national police were at her home.Is trouble brewing?
Amber Heard Was Smiling Afterward
Whatever was happening on the day didn't affect Heard's mood. The single mom was seen leaving her home shortly after a friend answered the door and spoke with the local law enforcement.
Wearing a black linen dress, a hat, and matching black shoes, she and an older man left the property. Initially, the book had a look of concern on their faces, but soon after running into the paparazzi, Heard smiled for the cameras.
So, if anything was happening, she was playing it off well. Heard waved to the cameras while making her way up a packed sidewalk. The actress has not confirmed to anyone yet, but it sure as hell looks like she is permanently living in Madrid.
Amber Heard Trying To Start Over
The actress's career is kind of up in the air. Her last film looks to be Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, and it was only recently confirmed that she would be in the movie after her divorce and abuse trial against Johnny Depp.
A source told PEOPLE that Heard was itching to leave the country. She "couldn't wait to leave the U.S. with her daughter." She values the "privacy" that Spain offers her and Oongh Paige. "The trial was beyond stressful for her, and she just wanted to start fresh out of the country."
They added that "She is excited about working and filming again. She was exhausted and disappointed about the trial. She felt she was mistreated. This is all behind her now, though. She has new energy and is focused on things that she loves."
The 37-year-old lost her defamation case against Depp and has long longed for peace, which she seems to have found in the warm-climate country.
Meanwhile, Johnny Depp Is At Cannes
Depp's career is seeing a resurgence since the trial ended. He was all smiles at the Cannes Film Festival in France, a mere 10-hour drive from his ex-lover's new home. He is there to premiere his French-language film, Jeanne Du Barry. He received a standing ovation on the opening night of his movie.
He was signing autographs before the premiere and was in a great mood when asked how he felt about people boycotting him. "Do I feel boycotted now? No, not at all. But I don't feel boycotted by Hollywood because I don't think about it. I don't think about Hollywood. I don't have much further need for Hollywood myself."
He continued. "I keep wondering about the word comeback because I didn't go anywhere. I live about 45 minutes away. So yeah, maybe people stopped calling out of whatever their fear was at the time. But no, I didn't go anywhere. I've been sitting around."
Depp is "happy" to "finally" have the opportunity to distance himself from all the drama surrounding the trial. "I finally have an opportunity to emancipate myself from something I attempted to leave over six years ago and on terms I can agree to."
