Billy Ray Cyrus Compares His Own Fiancée To 'Sunshine' Amid Tish Cyrus' Engagement

Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus have found happiness again, but not in each other's arms! The former celebrity couple finally called it quits on their 28 years of marriage in 2022.

Months later, Billy started dating singer Firerose and engaged her the same year. On the other hand, Tish started dating actor Dominic Purcell and the duo got engaged two weeks ago. 

Recently, Billy reminded the world that he had found happiness with his partner.

The two-time Grammy-winning singer took to Instagram, gushing about his partner's aura. He uploaded a snap of her posing in a meadow that had started to turn yellow. Firerose could be seen looking stylish in a chic white shirt dress. She added a brown belt, thigh-high boots, and a cowboy hat to the dress. 

Cyrus added Coldplay's "Yellow" song to the snap, and in the accompanying caption, he expressed his girlfriend's aura to his fans. He wrote, "Stay close to people who feel like sunshine... ?." 

Some fans commented on the pair's bond in the post's comment section, while others raved about Firerose's beauty. One fan commented, "Indeed, I think this woman is your perfect match." Another fan remarked, "You two are beautiful together! You must feel sunshine off each other!"

Last year, while confirming his engagement to the singer, Cyrus revealed how they met. The 61-year-old recalled that he and his girlfriend met on the "Hannah Montana" set in Los Angeles and credited his German Shepherd Tex for introducing him to his now-fiancée.

"A couple of old pine trees on the lot look like Tennessee. Tex and I would go out there in the middle of the day, and he'd take care of his business, and we'd stretch, and I'd think how much I missed Tennessee," he recounted." On that given day, Firerose came out of the front door. There was almost a moment of, I don't know, recognition. I was like, 'This girl's a star.'"

The two went on to talk after Firerose recognized him, beginning the start of their relationship. However, the relationship took a turn during the pandemic. Billy explained how the pandemic changed their relationship: "We began sharing music, and it just evolved."

The "New Day" singer, also present during the interview, chipped in, "Billy confided in me a lot of what was happening in his life. I was just the best friend I could be, supporting him."

Still, in the interview, the Australian singer spoke about how her lover popped the big question. She revealed that it happened in August without a ring or bended knees.

"Billy looked at me and said, 'Do you wanna marry me?' And I was just like, 'Of course I do. I love you," she recalled. "He said, 'I love you. I want to make this official. I wanna be with you forever.'"

Billy isn't the only one that has moved on from the divorce; weeks ago, Tish broke the happy news of her engagement, posting a snap of herself and her man. In the picture, the actor hugged Tish from behind and held her hand up, flaunting the gem on her ring finger. 

The jewel which claimed the spotlight was a square-cut diamond ring. She captioned the post, "A thousand times… YES, @dominicpurcell." As expected, several people filled the comments section congratulating the couple on the news. 

One remarked, "Omggg yess queen, you deserve all the happiness in the world; I'm so happy for you." Another wrote, "Getting the happy ending she deserves."

Tish and the "Prison Break" actor sparked relationship speculations last year when she dropped heart emojis under her man's Instagram post. She made it more catchy, adding a message that read, "Hi Babe." A source close to the couple disclosed that the pair are serious with their affair, and Tish is deeply in love with Purcell, believing he is her "soulmate." 

The source additionally revealed why they took time before publicly revealing their romance. "Tish wanted to keep their romance under wraps for a little while until she was sure he was The One. However, that didn't take long, and they've been inseparable since. She sees a future with him and feels so blessed they found each other."
