Wendy Williams is not ready for a comeback!

The media personality has been an entertainment industry member for over a decade, starting her career as a radio DJ before entering television with her award-winning show, "The Wendy Williams Show." However, the 58-year-old's eponymous talk show was canceled due to several health issues.

Fans have wondered when the mother-of-one would return after her withdrawal from the spotlight to focus on her recovery. However, the New Jersey native's poor health continues to impede her ability to work.

Last month, the event's showrunners teased the "Wendy Williams: What a Mess!" star's participation in their program. The 58-year-old was announced as a key speaker in a press release that read:

"Keynote Speaker Wendy Williams as she shares insight into her trailblazing three-decade career in entertainment and a behind-the-scenes look into her inspiring journey of Life and the Pursuit of True Happiness on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 1:00."

However, the organizers have since removed Williams' name from the Expo's website, excluding a picture featuring the list of scheduled speakers. A rep for the show also confirmed the entertainer's removal from their lineup, noting that there was a virtual apology.

"There is a video from Wendy that will be played Saturday, apologizing for the late cancellation," the informant claimed. As for the Billboard Radio Award winner's team, a source explained the media personality's poor health caused the last-minute change.

According to the insider who spoke to US Sun, the Hollywood Walk of Fame honoree's management had been concerned if she could speak at the Atlanta Women's Expo for weeks.

"There have been questions about if Wendy was well enough to do it, and there was pushing by some to get her to Atlanta and put her on that stage," the informant revealed, adding that the situation was not suitable for The Hunter Foundation co-creator.

"Wendy's ability to perform has been rocky at best. She can put together a sentence one day but not the next," the source lamented. The event allegedly planned on paying the entertainer $25,000 for her appearance.

The insider's claims match the narrative shared by the former talk show host's younger brother, Thomas Williams Jr. The 54-year-old reportedly told the news outlet in April that his sister was not in the best hands.

Thomas and his father joined the mother-of-one in Florida while she was filming her upcoming documentary. However, Wendy's poor state broke her sibling's heart. "This is not a woman in the right frame of mind to get a show going," her brother declared.

Additionally, Thomas slammed his sister's manager Will Selby for pushing the TV personality to work when she was at her worst. "This guy Will is ponying Wendy around- 'travel here, travel there, let's go make this money, and I don't care if you're making sense because everybody knows who you are,'" the 54-year-old claimed.

The Former Radio DJ's Friends Were Concerned About The 'New People' In Her Life

Williams' situation has not been the best, given the worrisome pictures painted by her loved ones. In April, the broadcaster's close pals revealed they were concerned about the new friends the 58-year-old was keeping.

"Wendy does not have many real friends, but the few that are coming around are causing some concern for the people that truly care about her," a source explained, adding that these individuals seemed sketchy at best.

The "Think Like A Man" actress was preparing to relocate from New York to Los Angeles following the cancellation of her highly-anticipated podcast. However, the insider claimed the move left the People's Choice Award nominee vulnerable to greedy hands.

Because she had her expensive jewelry and purses lying around the house, her friends were worried about the new people entering the media personality's home without adequate supervision.

"Wendy is not in the best state of mind, so unfortunately, people will take advantage of that," the source lamented.
