Camila Cabello Sparks Comparison To Jenna Ortega As She Debuts Darker Hair Color

The sensational songstress rose to fame as a girl group Fifth Harmony member before spreading her wings as a solo artist. Well-known for her soprano vocal range and captivating choreography, the 26-year-old is one of the most recognizable entertainers in the world.

However, the Cuba beauty recently made her fans do a double take on social media after debuting a brand-new hairstyle. The "Havana" musician went from looking like a Popstar to embodying Jenna Ortega's doppelganger.

Over the weekend, the "Cinderella" actress updated her Instagram page with a carousel of images. The nine-slide post highlighted the entertainer's recent activities, including turning her honey-brown tresses darker.

The first snap captured the "Havana" singer holding the camera above her head to flaunt her new raven-black hair and risque outfit. The entertainer rocked her locks in shaggy bangs and loose bun style while her toned figure was enveloped in a summer fit.

The yellow and maroon splattered ensemble featured several cut-outs with extended fabric to be tied in front of the top. Cabello paired the stunning outfit with a red plunge bra, mini-jean shorts, and black sneakers.

The slideshow continued with cute pictures of the AMA winner kissing her dog, a screenshot of her Mother's Day tribute, and an image of the "Bam Bam" artist rocking her black hair down. There was also a photo of Xochitl Gonzalez's novel, "Olga Dies Dreaming," and a clip of the media personality in mismatched shoes.

The Cuba beauty captioned the photo dump with a black heart emoji, receiving over a million likes and numerous comments from her adoring fans. Many noticed the similarities between the chart-topper and Ortega, from their dark hairstyles to similar body poses.

"You can't tell me this is not Jenna," someone argued, echoing similar thoughts with another that chimed: "At first, I thought this was Jenna Ortega." More social media users questioned their eyesight, wondering if Cabello had posted herself or the Netflix actress.

"Jenna Ortega??" a person pondered while another noted the songstress's pictures were: "JENNA'S POSE." A fellow supporter of the doppelganger effect declared: "Camila is Jenna's lookalike," while someone else described the 26-year-old as "Jenna 2.0."

The comment section shook with more "You look like Jenna Ortega" messages, but one sweet fan did not forget to laud the Billboard Music Award winner with praises. "I thought you were Jenna Ortega. Omg, you're so gorgeous," the individual exclaimed.

Cabello's dark hair debut came weeks after the "Don't Go Yet" musician was reportedly getting reacquainted with her ex-boyfriend Shawn Mendes. The former flames were spotted lighting Coachella with steamy make-out sessions, making many believe their chemistry had been reignited.

According to an insider, the fiery PDA moment they occurred inside the music festival's exclusive VIP lounge for A-listers and wealthy members. After linking up with their friends at the event, Mendes and his "Señorita" duet singer began kissing following rounds of tequila shots.

The dynamic duo's lust-filled night at Coachella seemed not an alcohol-induced interaction. A source claimed the exes were "enjoying getting reacquainted and seeing where it goes," noting that they cared "about each other a lot."

The informant's claims were not far from the truth as the singers enjoyed a nighttime stroll in West Hollywood. They were photographed holding hands, while an eyewitness stated that the duo "seemed very happy and comfortable together."

Apart from their similar facial features, Cabello's similarities to Ortega extended to Hollywood. Earlier in February, the "Crying in the Club" artist was announced as part of the cast for the upcoming biopic, "Rob Peace." 

The Beano Award recipient shall star in the film alongside influential entertainers like the actor Jay Will, music icon Mary J. Blige, and Hollywood veteran Chiwetel Ejiofor, who also served as the biopic's director.

The "Rob Peace" movie, reportedly in development, followed the story of the late titular character. The Yale graduate lived a double life as a cancer researcher and a six-figure marijuana dealer before his tragic demise in the gruesome 2011 drug raid.

Cabello shall portray Peace's fellow student Naya while Ejiofor and Blige shall play the deceased's, onscreen parents. The film originated from Jeff Hobbs' bestselling 2014 biography, "The Short and Tragic Life of Robert Peace: A Brilliant Young Man Who Left Newark for the Ivy League."
