Mark Wahlberg is remembering Penny Marshall, the woman who gave him his big break on the silver screen.

The "Instant Family" star was out in Beverly Hills on Wednesday when he was asked about the legendary director's passing. Marshall gave Wahlberg his first movie role, playing Pvt. Tommy Lee Haywood in the 1994 comedy, "Renaissance Man."

After reflecting on what she did for him, Wahlberg said his thoughts turned to "the long list of how many people she helped, found, discovered, inspired ... took to another level. Not many people that had the kind of talent and the relationships and also the kind of person that she was."

He concluded by saying, "Love her. Miss her. She was best, she was one of a kind."
