A law firm is going after the estate of Prince for more than $700,000 to settle his sister's legal bill.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the law firm Holland & Knight claims they did work for Tyka Nelson from September 19, 2016 until June 18, 2017. They say the work they did for Tyka involved the estate.
But now the firm is seeking an attorney’s lien against the estate in the amount of $717,254.37 for the cost of the services rendered. They are asking a judge to rule "in favor of Holland & Knight and against Ms. Nelson and her interest in the Estate in the determined amount of the lien."
The law firm is asking for a hearing on the matter next month.
As The Blast first reported, a different law firm claimed in September they were owed money by four of Prince's siblings for work they did in regards to the siblings consulting with the estate on the Paisley Park museum and exhibition.
