Remy Ma Agrees to Turn Over Financial Records About Tamar Braxton's Husband After Being Found in Contempt

Remy Ma is done blowing off the legal battle involving Tamar Braxton’s ex-husband after previously being warned by a judge to turn over financial records or she would face consequences.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Remy is finally taking the steps necessary to avoid being sanctioned after a New York judge found her in contempt for blowing off a subpoena relating to her work with Vince Herbert.

The record label that fired off the subpoena says a law firm representing Remy reached out to them, requesting the deadline be pushed back to January 31, 2019, to allow her time to produce all of the info they are requesting.

The label agreed to allow Remy the extra time, which may be needed since Remy gave birth to a baby girl this week. The rapper had to be hospitalized following the delivery, with her rep stating, “Remy is recovering in the hospital from a blood transfusion due to childbirth complications. She will be released in a day or so and is ecstatic about the birth of her healthy baby girl."

As The Blast first reported, a judge found Remy in contempt of court last month and gave the rapper 30 days to comply with the order.

The judge gave Remy Ma a month to answer all questions regarding projects she worked on with Vince and how much money he may be owed on any of their joint work.

The rapper was also ordered to hand to the court any money she owes to Vince so it can be turned over to LDNX. Remy was managed by Vince until earlier this year, when they split ways.

Earlier this year, LDNX Records filed court docs explaining they have been trying to collect on $380k owed to them by Vince Herbert and demanded the music exec be found in contempt of court, along with Lady Gaga, Remy, and Interscope Records.

The music company won a judgment against Vince in 2017 after suing him over a business deal gone south. They claim to have not been paid a dime from Vince and are trying to figure out the sources of his income, so they can seize the money until the $380k is satisfied.

LDNX accused Gaga, Remy Ma and the record label of failing to provide complete and accurate answers to the information they demanded from the subpoena. LDNX demanded sanctions against Gaga and Vince, along with Remy.

Gaga eventually turned over the requested information and they are no longer seeking sanctions or contempt against her.
