In an Instagram photo where Gomez happily shows off her macaroni and cheese, she wrote, "Trying to take a cute/serious photo of me cooking but then felt embarrassed so I'm using the candid where I look so happy but I feel kinda cheesy." She also shared a list of media she was consuming to beat the quarantine blues!
Gomez opened up to People magazine last year about her experience with becoming more comfortable with her work in the kitchen while filming "Selena + Chef."
"Season one, I was a complete disaster," she told the outlet about her kitchen skills, "and not to say I still don't have my moments, but I've come a long way." Gomez isn't shy about sharing her recipes with viewers; the recipes from the show are readily available for fans to try via HBO Max's official page for "Selena + Chef."
She has also made "Selena + Chef" a frequent addition to her Instagram grid, updating her followers on the latest happenings in the kitchen.
Where Does Gomez's Alleged Rival, Hailey Bieber, Come In?
Gomez and Bieber (Bieber famously dated and then married Gomez's ex, Justin, shortly after he and the "Only Murders In The Building" called it quits for good) may be forever linked via the internet.
Earlier this year, the duo were again linked after Bieber was involved in rumors involving her pal, Kylie Jenner. Fans were skeptical over an Instagram story picture of the pals drawing attention to their eyebrows; the photo was taken and shared suspiciously close to the time Gomez posted a TikTok where she had laminated eyebrows.
The internet was soon sent into a frenzy, and many fans took to social media to do detective work; soon, some fans began drawing comparisons between Gomez's HBO show and Bieber's cooking series on her YouTube channel.
"This seems similar to..." one follower weighed in on a social media post from Bieber announcing the segment.
Another chimed in, "So innovative, maybe you should do a cooking show with box 😁" (per The Blast)
