Shakira is finding the light after losing love.
The songstress recently released a brand-new song titled "Acróstico," which translates to "acrostic" in English.
"Acrostic" is a poem, word puzzle, or other composition in which certain letters in each line form a word or words.
Shakira's Sons Join Her On New Single!
Shakira's two sons, Sasha (8) and Milan (10), whom she shares with her ex-boyfriend, Gerard Piqué, appear in the video.
Her sons took turns singing the chorus and assisted in playing the piano. The chorus went as follows,
"You cure my pain / You make me feel better / I'm here for whatever you need / You came to complete what I am."
Per the singer, her boys weren't shy about asking her to be a part of it.

Shakira sings, "You taught me that love is not a scam and that when it's real it doesn't end / I tried to stop you from seeing me cry, I didn't want you to see my fragility."
These lyrics cut deep, given her tumultuous and heartbreaking breakup from Piqué. It's long been rumored the retired FC Barcelona player cheated on Shakira incessantly throughout their 11-year relationship.
Everything in their love story ended unexpectedly last year when Shakira reportedly found proof of his philandering ways.
They confirmed their breakup in June 2022 in a joint statement.
Shakira has relied heavily on her music and children to help her through difficult times.
"This year, Milan has written songs that brought me to tears of emotion, and Sasha has spent hours on the piano, discovering his voice," she wrote on Instagram. "Both have shared by my side in the studio and, upon hearing this song dedicated to them, asked me to be part of it. They have felt and performed it for themselves and themselves, with the passion and feeling of those who carry music inside."
She continued, "Milan and Sasha; it's so beautiful to see you spread your wings to start realizing your dreams! Nothing makes me feel more complete than being their mom."

The music video for "Acróstico" gave fans an inside look into her big move from Barcelona, Spain, to Miami, Fl.
The singer previously shared the 5.5-million-dollar mansion, which boasts seven bedrooms.

Elsewhere in the song, Shakira sings, "You cure my pain / You make me feel better / I'm here for whatever you need / You came to complete what I am. If things are damaged, don't throw them away, repair them / Face your problems head on / You have to laugh at life / Even though the wounds hurt."
Piqué and Shakira went head-to-head with their attorneys fighting over the custody of Sasha and Milan.
They had a "marathon" battle that lasted 12 hours to have the final custody agreement.
The former FC Barcelona ceded to his ex-girlfriend's wishes to avoid an ugly court battle. It must be noted the couple never legally married each other.
