Lindsay Lohan's Stepmom Tried to Drive the Bus During Drunken Tirade, Charged With DUI

Lindsay Lohan's stepmother's drunken Christmas arrest was crazier than we thought — because not only was she busted for allegedly attacking the driver, she tried to drive the bus herself and got charged with DUI.

According to a criminal complaint obtained by The Blast, Kate Major Lohan told police she became upset because the driver missed her stop. She claimed the driver assaulted her after Kate asked about the next stop.

The officers note they smelled "a strong odor of alcoholic beverage" on her breath and she admitted to drinking a "few glasses of wine" earlier.

But the driver told police a different story.

According to the complaint, the driver told police that Kate missed her stop and "became verbally abusive" as the bus traveled to its next stop, demanding the bus be stopped.

Once the bus made it to the next town, the driver claims Kate lunged at her, grabbed her coat, and refused to let go. The bus driver says she pushed Lohan off the bus but Lohan made her way back on.

At that point, the driver told police that Lohan "got into the driver's seat, and pushed various buttons, while appearing to want to move the bus. There were several passengers on the bus at this time and the bus engine was running. One passenger physically removed Lohan from the driver's seat at this time."

Multiple passengers backed up the driver's story to police.

Ultimately, Lohan was arrested and hit with several charges — driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness.

Lohan posted bail on December 26 and has a preliminary hearing set for January 3.
