Nick Cannon, who never hesitates to shower his baby mamas with lavish presents every holiday, took a different route for this year's Mother's Day.
The TV host recently detailed his plans for the memorable day, revealing that he chose to make a big gesture, which unfortunately did not go as planned, much to his dissatisfaction.
Nick Cannon Mixed Up His Handwritten Messages To His Baby Mamas On Mother's Day
On the latest episode of the "Daily Cannon Show," Cannon shared how his plans for Mother's Day went sideways, which he believed could have been avoided if he had gotten typical gifts. As seen on the comedian's Instagram feed, the episode was captioned, "I tried my BEST, but #MothersDay didn't go as planned this year!"

Cannon, who appeared with one of his baby mamas, Abby De La Rosa, said in the clip that he tried his best for Mother's Day because he believed it would be "really, really good" to show his baby mamas how he really felt. The entertainer explained that he could have settled on buying whatever lavish gif, but wanted to do a "different route."
With that, he decided to express his feelings in words using "handwritten messages from the heart," to which De La Rosa said she loved on the show. The "Drumline" actor was then asked how he delivered the messages, leading him to elaborate on how he messed up.
He said, "So then as I'm writing a handwritten message, I get the cards mixed up," adding, "And so when one baby mama reads the card about how I feel about the other baby mama…." This prompted those on the show, De La Rosa included, to exclaim, "Wowwww." Afterward, Cannon pointed out that if he had just gotten "some generic sh*t that everybody else got," the mix-up would not have happened.
Many commenters disapproved of the 42-year-old sharing such and called out his baby mama Rosa for pretending she was not a receiver of the mixed-up notes. One user taunted the disc jockey saying, "Whyyyyyy Abby acting like she not 1 of them who got a mixed up card."
A second commenter ranted, "The absolute crazy thing is he's talking to a baby mama about it…and she's sitting there smiling like she's not hurt." Another follower noted that De La Rosa feigned surprise "as if she's not one of said baby mamas," while a fourth user remarked:
"Say ANYTHING for ratings, and Abby will say and agree with anything to be relevant. I see why some of the baby mommas are developing boundaries."
One more follower believed De La Rosa looked ridiculous on the show and was pathetic for always trying to be near her children's father, even when he talked about his other baby mamas.
Another sarcastically wrote, "Apparently, Abby was not [a part] of the equation because she looks mortified!!! And said wow…as if she did not know…."
However, in spite of all the drama, Cannon maintains a harmonious relationship with all his partners to the extent that he even has a system that decides whose baby mama's house he sleeps in.
In a recent chat with the Los Angeles Times, the "Wild N' Out" host mentioned that he spent most of his time with his children and that usually determined where he spent his nights.
Even though the "Roll Bounce" actor has properties in New Jersey, Temecula, and Joshua Tree, he shared that he keeps some of his clothes at his baby mamas' houses whenever he visited.
Speaking of the system he used to determine where he slept, he said, "A lot of the times, it's whichever of them has called me that day, to be honest. I am such a creature of habit. I like who like me."
The 'Gigolo' Singer Addressed Haters Who Called Him A 'Deadbeat Dad'
Cannon may be known for going all out for his children and their mothers, but haters still label him a "deadbeat dad," because they don't believe he can be totally present for all his 11 kids.
However, the 42-year-old clapped back at his critics in the same interview, which he reacted to not long ago. He told the Los Angeles Times that he had been "villainized" as a father and heard all the negative remarks that assigned to him the "deadbeat dad" title.
Addressing the backlash, Cannon declared, "It's not about what I do for you or what I say to you; it's about how you feel when I'm with you. If you feel loved when you see your dad, that's what's gonna resonate."
