Jamie Foxx Reportedly Undergoing Physical Rehab At Chicago Facility After Release From Hospital

Jamie Foxx is reportedly out of the hospital and is now recovering in a facility in Chicago. The actor appears not yet entirely out of the woods, although reports indicate he is alert and active.

According to TMZ, Foxx is still under continued care after last month's medical emergency. The actor, previously hospitalized in Atlanta, is currently being observed as he recuperates at a renowned rehabilitation facility in Chicago.

The actor's health update comes after his loved ones visited the hospital over the weekend, where they all appeared to be in good spirits.

His ex, Kristin, and daughters Annalise and Corinne were photographed together at the facility, exhibiting a united front as fans pray for a speedy recovery from the "Django star."

Although no one from the media has yet to have a face-to-face with Foxx since he was hospitalized, the continued visit from his loved ones indicates that Foxx is alert and active, backing up claims from several sources who have weighed in on his health scare.

Last week, as reported by The Blast, Foxx's daughter Corrine announced that her father was no longer in the hospital and that he had been moved out "weeks" ago and is now "recuperating," slamming rumors that his health had taken a wrong turn.

She also revealed that he was physically active, mentioning that he was strong enough to have engaged in a game of pickleball at the facility where he resides.

"Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. He was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone's prayers and support," Corrine shared on her Instagram story. 

Corrine's message cleared the air on her father's health after a slew of media reports alleged that Foxx's condition had worsened and that his family feared the worst.

In the meantime, it's still unclear exactly what kind of medical complication caused Foxx to be hospitalized, as the family has refused to disclose the information since news broke about his health.

However, there is no doubt that the medical emergency was severe given that the facility where Foxx is receiving care specializes in rehabilitating people who have suffered complicated health issues such as stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and cancer.

Since the actor's ill health became known, fans and celebrity friends have sent in get-well messages. Earlier in the month, he shared a post on his Instagram page to thank his well-wishers for their support and prayers after weeks of social media silence.

"Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed," he penned per The Blast, alongside heart and fox emojis.

News of Foxx's medical emergency went viral following an Instagram post from Corrine on April 11.

"We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday," she wrote about the actor, leaving out details of the nature of the health scare.

She added, "Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already recovering. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time."

Before his health issue, Foxx was in the latter stages of filming his Netflix film "Back in Action" with actress Cameron Diaz, whom he convinced to come out of retirement.

The medical problem appears to have occurred off-set, and Foxx reportedly did not go to the hospital in a production vehicle.

A stand-in was reportedly used to fill in for Foxx, and filming was "shut down" for a day following his hospitalization.
