Addison Timlin Details Struggles Of First Mother's Day As Single Mom

Addison Timlin never thought she'd be a single mom celebrating Mother's Day alone. It's "F**king hard."

The newly single mom of two penned a heartfelt note to her followers detailing her struggles of being a single mom on Mother's Day and it also being her first one ever. "Being a single mom is not how I pictured it. It is so f**king hard. It is all out covered in shit crying on the floor, kick you in the shins screaming with no sound coming out hard," she wrote.

The Odd Thomas actress recently separated from her husband of almost five years, Jeremy Allen White. The news is shocking, to say t least; some people had no clue these two were together with kids.

Others couldn't believe that they were getting a divorce seeing as they were gushing like teenagers in love about one another back in February when White took home a Golden Globe for his role in The Bear.

It's been rough for Timlin, she admits in the post. "It's not the natural order of things. It can be exhausting, but more than anything, it can just be so lonely."

Timlin poured her heart out in the emotional post. The real nitty-gritty of divorce is setting in for the actress. "It's so painful. But just like everything with motherhood, the lows are demolished by the staggering heights."

She spoke of her children being her strength. "To live with young children is an eye wide open, wondrous and joyful place to be; it's to be surrounded by a daily expression of their authentic selves."

Timlin implored her followers to do what is best for them. "Knowing what is best for you is easy if you can get quiet enough- doing what is best for you can seem impossible- but it's not."

The actress's message continued. "I'm feeling so peaceful today and deeply in love with my children; being a mom is the only thing I've ever wanted, and being theirs is just the luckiest, most remarkable thing on the planet."

That doesn't mean she isn't shedding a few tears. "Doing it alone has given me more strength, empathy, and tears than anything else in my life ever has," she writes. She indicated that maybe her divorce from White should not be such a huge surprise.

"So thank you to everyone that has helped me in these last nine months, the moms who picked my kid up from school in an emergency, play dates that made weekends feel a little less like climbing a small mountain, crying in my car."

The last nine months? This has so of her followers what the hell that line means. Timlin didn't engage. Her message ends, "and if you turned and said to me "I've got you" Oof. It feels good. Happy Mother's Day, you all."

Timlin's divorce news broke late last week; this is the first time she is speaking out about it.
