Arianny Celeste vs. Ronda Rousey
In 2015, when Ronda Rousey was preparing for UFC 184, she commented on the UFC ring girls' salaries, saying she thinks ring girls should not be paid as much as they are.
Arianny Celeste did not let this slide and spoke out regarding the comments made. "I'm not going to talk about her because I'm not a fighter," Celeste said. "I'm not going to waste my time. I don't talk about anyone. It blows my mind that someone who doesn't even know me continuously picks on me. And that's all I see her as -- a big bully."
Rousey was quick to clap back at Celeste's comments. "What did I say that was a bully? That the fighters should get paid more than the ring girls? How does that make me a bully? That makes me f-----g right," Rousey expressed. "I'm sorry, but she wouldn't have a job without the fighters. She wouldn't. Do yDo you think her walking in circles around the two guys or girls out there fighting for their lives is worth more? Think she works harder than they do?
The fight admitted that she does have "a lot of respect" for Celeste's friend and fellow ring girl, Brittney Palmer.
"She became a ring card girl to pay her way through art school and become a renowned artist. And being ring card girl helps her promote her art," Rousey said regarding Palmer. "If you're working at Hooters because you're trying to pay your way through medical school, then f-----' work it, girl. I respect the hustle. But don't think you're hot s--t just because you work at Hooters. Use it to further yourself; don't think you're fantastic just because you do that. I'm sorry, but I'm not impressed with the job."
Arianny Celeste vs Khabib Nurmagomedov
More recently, Arianny Celeste stood up for herself and her fellow ring girls after UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov criticized the use of ring girls in the MMA Octagon.
"I've worked over 15 years in this industry and learned it's easier just to DO NOT CARE," she said. "For 15 years, we have been more than just ring girls β we have dedicated time to promoting UFC and showing love and time to our die-hard fans through touring the world and personal appearances. And while the world is very different, I can still feel that energy and love every time we have a show with an audience."
Celeste continued to explain how her 15 years of hard work and dedication have led her to be "A bad a** independently wealthy female. A real estate investor and owner of not just 1 but 3 homes/properties, one located in LA -which is expensive AF, and a female who is not afraid to take risks and build for my future."
