Dionne Warwick Has THIS To Say About Elon Musk Hiring A Female CEO

Dionne Warwick is sharing her thoughts on Elon Musk's latest move as the owner of Twitter.
The business magnate and investor acquired Twitter for $44 billion in 2022. However, Musk's takeover led to a massive flight of many celebrities from the social media platform. Things were further exacerbated by the $8 monthly fee for verifying the blue check.
However, the Tesla CEO has made another significant move with people wagging their tongues, including the "Heartbreaker" songstress.
Elon Musk Hires A Female CEO For Twitter
On Thursday, the tech billionaire shocked the Twitterverse when he confirmed that he was stepping down as CEO and getting a replacement.
"Excited to announce that I have a new CEO for X/Twitter," said Musk in a tweet. "She will be starting in ~ six weeks! I will transition to exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops."
Fans might recall on December 18, the CEO and chief engineer of SpaceX took to his own Twitter account to conduct a poll, asking users if he should step down as the head of the company. Unfortunately, the majority of voters (57.5 percent) were ultimately in favor of his resignation.
Musk immediately agreed that he would follow the desires of the majority. However, he soon fought back at the suggestion saying he would only hand over "as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job!" This prompted many to slam him, suggesting that he knew buying the social media platform was a problem in the first place.
Finally, in February, the tech guru succumbed to the pressure of most of the platform's users and announced he would find a replacement before the end of the year.
As opposed to his previous changes on the app, hiring a female CEO is likely the best decision Musk has made on Twitter since being at the helm of affairs. The "X.com" founder, since taking over, has faced criticism for a series of policy changes at Twitter, which often came without clear justification and raised concerns among users,
Per reports, many advertisers fled the platform over concerns about hateful conduct, mass layoffs, or questions about the company's future. Simultaneously, he has been pushing to sell users on the new paid subscription model by favoring only verified subscribers and removing the blue check from celebrities and notable figures in a move that has since backfired.

With the array of bad choices, the president of the philanthropic Musk Foundation has been attempting to do damage control, and his latest move to make a woman his replacement seems widely appreciated by all. Although Musk didn't initially confirm who would be taking over from him, sources claimed NBCUniversal's head of advertising, Linda Yaccarino, was the likely candidate.
Dionne Warwick Joked That She Will Be Twitter's New CEO
As the father of ten did not name the woman who would be taking on the role at the time, this allowed users to create an inside joke about the hiring. Among them was singer Warwick, one of Twitter's darlings, who teased that she is the hire Musk was speaking about to be the next Twitter CEO.
She tweeted, "I am excited to take on the role as CEO of Twitter officially," wrote Warwick. "This has been in the works for months." Many of her 632.8K followers reacted to the tweet.
One wrote, "Ha! I wish you weren't joking, Dionne. You'd be a huge improvement over the current leadership! Another user replied, "I love it! And will you be considering the U.S. Presidential race because you get my vote for both? 🥰.” A third person, referencing one of her known songs, remarked, "I'll say a little prayer for you 🤭😂."
Dionne Warwick Rivals Chucky For Most Popular Celebrity On Twitter
The veteran singer is a Twitter legend for a reason. Last Thanksgiving, as reported by The Blast, the exceptional vocalist got into a hilarious beef with the terrifying doll character Chucky when reclaiming her throne as the most celebrity on Twitter.
The official account of the horrific vintage doll started the beef by calling out the 81-year-old singer in an infamous tweet that read, "We all know I'm the most popular celebrity on #twitter, but @dionnewarwick comes in at a close second #chucky."

The "Walk On By" hitmaker didn't take the remark lightly and clapped back classily. She wrote, "Not even 400 likes in 24hr. Please reconsider."
