Ice-T's Daughter Shares The Same Bed With Her Parents
The iconic rapper and actor recently shared a heartwarming detail about his family life and sleeping arrangements. During an appearance on the "That Moment with Daymond John" podcast, he revealed that his 7-year-old daughter Chanel still sleeps in the same bed with him and his wife, Coco Austin.
"I was there when Coco was pregnant, I went to the hospital, and Chanel still sleeps in the bed with us," the "Once Upon a Time in Brooklyn," actor said, per E! News. "So I'm much more connected to her than my other kids. But it's been a beautiful thing."
The 65-year-old rapper shares Chanel with television personality and actress Coco Austin, whom he married in 2022. Ice-T previously shared that the defining factor in his long-lasting marriage with the "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" alum, 44, was food and sex.
"A 65-year-old Italian lady said, 'Men are straightforward. You want to keep a man, you keep his stomach full and his balls empty,'" he said during a chat with E! News.
"They say when sex is good, it's 10 percent of the relationship. When it's bad, it's 90 percent of the relationship. So, if it's good, it's a cherry on top of the relationship. And when it's bad, it's all you can think about," he added.
Ice-T Compares Having Chanel With His Other Kids
In his interview with Daymond John, Ice-T compared and contrasted the circumstances surrounding having Chanel with his two older children.
The rapper shared that the place he was when he had Chanel differed from when he had Letesha, 47, and Tracy Jr., 31.
"I think the difference with Chanel and my other kids is I'm very conscious of this baby," he noted. "I had my daughter when I was in high school, I was ripping and running, so it was presented over presence. I wasn't there."
He added, "My son, Ice, happened right when I became Ice-T. I'd never been famous before, this was a whole new thing, so I was distracted by that. Chanel, I'm comfortable; I'm in a cruising pattern."
How Having Chanel Changed Ice-T's Perspective On Life
Ice-T revealed that having Chanel inspired him to grow and become a better man as she changed his perspective on life.
"It made me want to live forever," the rapper shared. "It made me create new goals 'cause you got bread, you could start slowing down. But Nah, not that new baby. It's the best gift I could ever get."
In a previous chat with E! News, the "Ice Loves Coco" star notably revealed that he had to change his life and started paying more attention to his health after welcoming Chanel.
"Muhammad Ali said it; he said when a man has a child in the second half of his life, it resets his life," he shared, adding, "When Chanel was born, all of a sudden I got more healthy, I'm in shape. Because you can start to slow down—I can't start to slow down."
