A 15-year-old half-French and half-Indonesian pop sensation is blowing the minds of American music executives, with some saying she could be the next Taylor Swift.
Célinedee Matahari has enthralled young audiences and amassed an ocean of fans globally with her high-profile performances in Dubai and a string of hit singles. Celineedee’s meteoric rise has spread rumors of top Hollywood music industry executives reaching out to her team for massive crossover collaborations.
Célinedee was born in Dubai to her mother Purwanti and her father Frédéric Paillé. At such a young age, her unique voice, amazing talent in playing the ukulele and guitar, relatable lyrics, and even her ability to sing in several different languages have made her a new favorite among Indonesian teens and young adults.
The pop star even famously made mega influencer Lele Pons, who boasts 52 million followers on Instagram and over 5 billion views on YouTube, stop in her tracks delivering an incredible live performance. Lele, along with her husband Guayana, complimented Célinedee for her voice, after which she was invited for an exclusive meet and greet.
Célinedee Mataharin Stunned Crowds During Several High-Profile Shows In Dubai
During a recent modeling session in Dubai, Célinedee also impressed current Indonesian Idol judge Momo, who was awed by her songwriting ability. Célinedee's Dubai shows put her on the map and launched her international stardom. Célinedee first burst on the scene when she performed an Indonesian song at the Indonesian Pavilion at the Expo2020 in Dubai, as part of a UN event celebrating the “7 Wonders of Nature.”
Also, Célinedee wowed crowds at places like the Armani Hotel at the Burj Khalifa and most recently at Indonesia Night at Palazzo Versace Dubai. This high-profile concert was sponsored by Bank Indonesia (the central bank of Indonesia) and was attended by UAE ministers and other extremely influential dignitaries. Célinedee was even personally congratulated by the Governor of Bank Indonesia Perry Warjiyo and separately by Indonesia’s Ambassador to the UAE H.E. Husin Bagis for her beautiful performance.
Célinedee’s camp has also begun talks for massive shows in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and London. Célinedee is set to perform a mix of her hit singles, including her most recent hit and fan favorite “White Novel” as well as "The Benches“, “On and On”, and “4 AM."
According to our sources, Célinedee also has plans for a large-scale Indonesian tour, especially after seeing the astounding success of Korean supergroup Blackpink performing in the country. Axton Salim, the billionaire chief marketing officer and director of Indofood sponsored the iconic shows and reminded the world that Indonesia is a must-stop for the top music artists who want to reach millions of new fans overnight.
It should be noted, most people don’t realize Indonesia is the world’s 4th largest population and is also the largest economy in Southeast Asia. If Célinedee is able to become a hit in this region she would rocketship her career to the top of Hollywood and act as a bridge between both markets.
“My biggest dream is for the world to know how wonderful Indonesia is and to put it on the world music map," Célinedee said when reached out to for comment.
Bottom line...for Célinedee, the Dubai shows are a testament to her hard work and dedication, and they represent a milestone in her career. For fans in Dubai and around the world, they are an opportunity to see a rising star in action and witness the beginning of what promises to be an incredible journey.
