"Younger" and "Lizzie McGuire" actress Hilary Duff is focused on being healthy and caring for her body. Over the last few years, she has made adjustments to her diet and workout plan, and she says she feels better and happier than ever.
Most recently, the "Why Not?" singer is revealing her latest breakfast obsession, and every fan is running to the grocery store to pick them up!
What Does Hilary Duff Eat For Breakfast?
The "Younger" actress recently went on to a Dear Media podcast where she talked about a variety of topics, including the "most important meal of the day" -- breakfast.
"I wake up really hungry," Duff said on Dear Media, "I'm obsessed with those cauliflower rounds. They're so good. It's made of cauliflower, and it looks like a pita, but it's small," she said. "They're just cauliflower and maybe like one other [ingredient]. They're super clean."
Duff told the podcast hosts how she makes a meal from the cauliflower sandwich rounds, saying she "puts it in the air fryer and puts egg salad on top of it," along with some avocado. Sometimes, Duff says she opts for "a fried egg and a vegan sausage" on top for her breakfast.
If she passes on the cauliflower sandwich rounds, Duff says she will make overnight oats to enjoy in the morning.
Although sometimes, the "Lizzie McGuire" actress admits to just drinking coffee and skipping breakfast despite it being "the most important meal of the day." "I know Gwyneth is in trouble for saying this, but sometimes I try to drink coffee in the morning and starve off my hunger."
Hilary Duff On Changing Her Lifestyle
In 2019, Hilary Duff opened up about the changes she made in her personal life to become the best version of herself she could be -- including a new diet and counting her macros.
"I am being healthy right now, and for the first time in my life, I am enjoying it," she told MBG Planet. "I had 10 pounds to lose after having Banks hanging around, and I was about to start shooting again, so I started to count my macros. I'd never done that before, but I love it!"
"Every time I've dieted before and cut carbs and sugar, there's been such a daunting feeling of 'I'm being deprived, I'm being deprived.' I'm a balanced person, and I like to have freedom," she admitted before adding, "With the macros, it's cool because I haven't had to cut anything out that I love. It's just about making sure my body is getting the right amount of protein, fat, and carbohydrates—and then I get to choose what those are."
The former Disney Channel star continued, "So if I'm feeling starving one day, I know that I need to eat a lot more of the healthy things to meet those numbers, but if I'm not as hungry the next day, I can have something I enjoy... And I love to chew. Other diets have been like, oh, have a soup, and I'm like, no. I have to chew something."
Overall, she has seen and felt the changes and feels better than ever. "It's been awesome, and I've lost 10 or 11 pounds, and I feel thrilled," she said. "I also feel energized. I eat every three hours. I have to do that with kids and the pace I have to keep throughout the day."
