Howard Stern is airing his thoughts about the recently concluded British Coronation that spanned three days of extravagant festivities from Saturday, May 6, to Monday, May 8.

While fans of King Charles III were undoubtedly on cloud nine about the crowning, Stern seemed to disapprove as he unabashedly threw insults at the monarch for wasting funds amid the nation's economic troubles.

Howard Stern Found It Disturbing Watching King Charles' Opulent Coronation

He called King Charles a p***y after criticizing his Coronation and before hinting that the Royal did not deserve the people's adoration.

"England's gotta get a grip on themselves," Stern told his co-host Robin Quivers, adding, "I understand, maybe it brings in tourism, but Jesus H. Christ. First of all, Prince Charles is a p***y."

He said, "That's No. 1 – and people are acting like – the whole ceremony, they're acting like that f**king guy went to war or something, and then beat up all the other people."

Quivers interjected, implying that the king was treated like he did something "great" besides being born.

With that, the Boston University alum said, "Yeah. But they're like, 'We swear our allegiance to you, and you are a great warrior.' I mean, the whole thing is f**king nuts."

He then dropped his reasons for his criticism, pointing at the UK's present shaky financial condition. "It was disgusting," he exclaimed. "And I'll tell you why it's disgusting." Stern explained that it did not take a genius to note that the country had its own "economic problems" but spent a fortune on the Coronation.

He added, "It's just repugnant to watch a country suffering through economic problems … and then you see the pomp and circumstance." The author understood why the monarchy is vital to England concerning tourism as it "provides a flavor to the country and something for people to go see."

"It's part of tourism. I get all that," he clarified. "I'm not naive, but it just sends the wrong message."

Stern appears to be one of many not taken with the lavish disbursement of funds amid the nation's economic situation. Per BBC, a few small business owners shared similar views. According to the outlet, the UK Government and Buckingham Palace paid for the ceremony through the Sovereign Grant and Privy Purse.

However, given England's economic status, it was assumed that the affair might be "slimmed down." Despite the alleged "slimmed down" ceremony, the estimated cost was between £50 million and £100 million.

Based on interviews with a few Londoners, many in the UK seem to be struggling while the Royal family spends such an amount on a coronation. One such person believed the amount expended on the occasion was a lot and could be done on a low budget given the modern era.

Meanwhile, the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) maintains that the Coronation would positively impact businesses economically.

The governing body's head of policy, James Watkins, feels it would establish the "massive boost" businesses need to "get back on track" following the relapse caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and ensuing train strikes.

The 'Private Parts' Author Expressed Distaste For Prince Harry And His Wife's Documentary

Stern's criticism of King Charles' Coronation will not be the first time he slammed the British monarchy as he once targeted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle late last year.

The Blast reported that after the couple debuted their documentary "Harry &Meghan," the radio personality, who initially did not want to watch the show, was irritated with it.

He shared, "It's been painful. I don't — I wouldn't stay with it, but my wife wants to watch it, so, you know, we have shows we watch, but they come off like such whiny b**ches. I gotta tell you, man; I just don't get it."

Stern further compared the production to "The Kardashians," calling it boring despite sympathizing with Harry for the loss of his mom, Princess Diana.

Nevertheless, he found no purpose in the documentary and questioned what the partners hoped to achieve with it.
