Seth Rogen Honors Late Pet's Memory With Poignant Tribute
On May 7, the 41-year-old Vancouver native updated his Instagram page with the unfortunate news of his dog's passing. The TV personality shared ten slides, capturing his memories with the late canine.
Throughout the slideshow, fans could see how much the pet meant to the "Neighbors" star and his beautiful wife, Lauren Miller. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed featured a gorgeous Blenheim particolored coat, and radiant round eyes glittered with love in each picture.
Zelda enjoyed trips to the beach, posing with the couple, playing fetch with Rogen, and snuggling with the actor's wife in the snaps. There was also a video of the pet wagging her tail excitedly as she watched the Canadian entertainer prepare a turkey.
The photo dump received over 300,000 likes and was captioned with a lengthy message about the canine's life. "We said goodbye to our perfect girl Zelda on Thursday, May 4. She was almost 14 years old," the grief-stricken filmmaker revealed.
"She was truly the most amazing, magical creature. She taught us about love, resilience, strength, and kindness. We loved her more than words can describe. Everyone who met her saw what a unique little puppy she was," the American Comedy Award recipient continued.
Highlighting the pup's unique traits, the 41-year-old stated that Zelda could stare into a person's soul with her "gigantic buggy eyes." She also made people feel special because her judgemental nature meant only worthy individuals could receive her love.
Sharing details about the canine's achievements, the "Invincible" executive producer explained that the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel grew from the "shy" puppy no one wanted to adopt to becoming a celebrity dog.

According to the comedian, Zelda "became a girl who traveled to multiple countries, appeared in three movies, on two magazine covers, and inspired countless works of Zelda-art — including a lighter now in the homes of hundreds of people."
The three-time Golden Globe Award nominee also dropped some of the couple's favorite things about their late pet. The list included: "Her big eyeballs and her intense eye contact, the sound she made for Zankou chicken, and she leave me the alone side eye."
Noting how "incredible" it felt to wake up every morning and see Zelda staring back at him, Rogen concluded his poignant message: "We belonged to each other, and we will miss her forever."
A year before her passing, the canine and her owner made headlines following the creation of a Zelda-inspired lighter caddy. The Vancouver native launched the merchandise through Houseplant, the cannabis company he co-founded with his longtime friend Evan Goldberg.
The stylish tool shaped as Zelda came in bronze and copper colors, reportedly crafted from cast zinc. The canine lighter also served as a display piece thanks to its large size and adorable nature.
The Canadian Superstar Credits Childless Life To Success
Months earlier, The Blast shared that Rogen and his wife were content without having children. The 41-year-old revealed the couple's disinterest in parenthood while appearing on the "Diary of A CEO" podcast with Steven Bartlett.
Opening up about his decision to skip the child-making phase, the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award nominee claimed he had no regrets because it boosted his career. "That has helped me succeed as well. There's a huge thing I'm not doing, which is raising children," the entertainer explained.
According to the "Long Shot" actor, he and his wife seriously discussed the subject of children before deciding it was not something they wanted to do. In the comedian's words:
"Some people want kids; some people don’t want kids. Honestly, you just are told, ‘You go through life, you get married, you have kids.’ That’s what happens. And me and my wife, neither of us were like that."
The Canadian Comedy Award winner also declared that the couple's child-free lifestyle might never change: "Honestly, the older we get, the happier and reaffirmed we are with our choice not to have kids."
