The Situation Will Get to Bring His Wedding Band to Prison

"Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" star Mike Sorrentino will be forced to leave his sunglasses and hair gel at home when he checks in to the big house, but he'll be able to keep some truly special bling.
According to the Bureau of Prisons, Sorrentino will only be allowed to retain certain items when he voluntarily surrenders to authorities this week to begin his 8-month sentence.
The reality star can't bring much, but he will be allowed to keep medical or orthopedic devices, legal documents, prescription eye glasses and religious items, as long as they do not pose a security threat.
He will also get to keep a "plain wedding band," as long as it does not contain any stones or intricate markings. Sitch tied the knot with Lauren Pesce last November after a judge gave him until January 15 to check in to prison.
Prison officials recommend that prisoners submitting for a voluntary surrender check in before noon so they can be processed and assigned a permanent housing facility.
The Bureau of Prisons has already given Sitch a prison number in anticipation of his check-in, but it is currently unclear where he will serve out his time.
As we reported, "Jersey Shore" co-star Vinny Guadagnino revealed that Sorrentino asked the crew to watch over his new wife during prison sentence.
It's unclear if Sorrentino's co-stars will show up to see him off, but don't be surprised if the surrender is turned into a special episode of "Jersey Shore."
