The doting mother of two rocked a black long-sleeve shirt and carried her four-month-old, who donned a polka dot black and white onesie with a matching beanie in the snapshot. McCain Was Pressured To Use Ozempic For Weight Loss Following Her Daughter's Arrival

Over the years, fans have seen the political commentator be outspoken on social and political issues plaguing American society. Hence, it was no surprise when she joined the battle against using Ozempic as a quick remedy to shed excess weight. Per The Blast, weeks after giving birth to baby Clover, the 38-year-old lashed out and addressed diabetic drug usage in an essay.

The Daily Mail op-ed piece was titled, "I just gave birth, and I'm being urged to take a 'miracle shot' of Ozempic as a quick fix … It's horrifying, unfair and disturbing — and I refuse."

The public figure mentioned that she was asked by friends to lose the baby weight she has gained with Ozempic as  it was a "new 'miracle' drug" that "can just melt the pounds away" for "a cool $1,000 a pop."

However, in the article, she fiercely noted that she was not interested  because she wasn't one of the "people who legitimately struggle with obesity and need Ozempic."

McCain wrote, "Well, let me make one thing very clear. I'm not taking it. I refuse. There's a clear moral issue here. Taking a drug is hard because swimsuit season is approaching, while others need it to stay alive. And how can this be healthy?"

In the op-ed, the Daytime Emmy Award nominee also added that she was concerned with Ozempic misuse because it could undermine the advancement of body positivity and affect her daughters' lives.

"This is not the world I want for them, and not the world I want for myself," the GLAAD Media Award Nominee penned before concluding, "As for Ozempic, I would rather have a few extra pounds than shoot myself up with medicine. There isn't anything worth having that is easy to get. And that goes for my health and the health of my girls."
