“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Dorit Kemsley has been ordered to attempt to settle her nasty battle with her ex-business partner or the case will head to trial.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, a Los Angeles judge has ordered the reality star and her ex-partner, Ryan Horne, to meet within 20 days to try and hash out their issues.
The judge ordered the parties to arrange for a private mediation session and split the costs. Kemsley and Horne will have to either show up or have a lawyer with full settlement authority attend.
The purpose is for the two to reach a deal that will bring an end to their dueling lawsuits and avoid a trial.
However, the judge warns if they don’t figure out an agreement, the case is scheduled for trial on January 6, 2020. Sounds like Dorit could have already locked herself down a storyline for a future season of “RHOBH.”
Last year, Dorit Kemsley and her husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, were sued by a former business partner. Horne claimed he entered into a deal with Dorit and Paul back in 2017 for them to launch a line of bathing suits and he allegedly fronted the company $130,000 in merchandise and another $75,000 for other expenses.
He accused Dorit of selling the bathing suits at a large profit but never paid him back a dime. He eventually sued, demanding the entire $205,000 he put into the business and a cut of the money the reality stars made from the sales.
Dorit eventually fought back and her Beverly Beach line counter-sued Horne, claiming he was never promised ownership in the company and called him “merely a vendor” for the brand.
The “Real Housewives” star also accused Horne of costing her hundreds of thousands in lost sales due to products not being delivered on time. Horne denied the allegations.
The Blast obtained video earlier this year of Dorit getting heckled while on vacation by a friend of Horne, who screamed out, “You cheap b*tch!’ to Dorit in public.
