A Disneyland Guest broke the rules after Space Mountain, a popular rollercoaster inside the Park, broke down.
Not only did this Guest, who was a grown adult, squeeze out of his safety lap bar, but he also encouraged his family to break the rules, endangering himself and others.
Disney Guest Squeezes Out Of Ride Vehicle
A Disney Guest caught another Guest on video as he broke the rules and proceeded to exit his ride vehicle after Space Mountain broke down.
The Guest, who is seen wearing a Hawaiian shirt in the video, first squeezed out of his safety lap bar and then proceeded to push buttons and touch bars located on the ride vehicle, with his family and other Guests still sitting inside, not knowing what the buttons would do.
He then helped the rest of his family out of the ride vehicle, leaving them stranded on the side of the ride track by themselves without any direction.
If a ride is broken down, a Cast Member will come over the loudspeaker and inform everyone to remain seated. This is for the safety of Guests and Cast Members. If the ride must be evacuated, a Cast Member will come to you and escort you off the attraction. What this Guest did not only broke the rules, but endangered himself, his family, and everyone else on the ride as the attraction could have started up again at any moment. Plus, the Guest was then left to walk along the pathways within the ride, not knowing where he was going.
Please remember, the rules and regulations are in place for the safety of Guests and Cast Members. It is more than likely this Disney Guest received a lifetime ban for breaking the safety rules.
Disneyland Rules and Regulations
Disneyland's official website states the following activities are prohibited:
- Engaging in any unsafe act or other act that may impede the operation of the Disneyland Resort or any part thereof.
- Unauthorized access or entry into backstage areas or areas designated only for Cast Members.
The website also states, "We reserve the right to prohibit any other activity that we determine may be harmful or disruptive, in our sole and absolute discretion."
What this Guest did falls under both activities as he not only engaged in an unsafe act, putting himself and others in harm's way, but he also left the ride vehicle without a Cast Member's permission, meaning he had unauthorized access, plus he could have ended up in an unauthorized backstage area.
Again, it is more than likely this Guest and his family were escorted out of the Park by security and received a lifetime ban.
