UPDATE

9:00 AM PT: The judge approved Weinstein's new legal team.

Harvey Weinstein confidentially strode into court to present his murder's row of legal defenders after scooping up two of the attorneys who just represented one of his alleged sexual assault victims.

Weinstein arrived at the Manhattan courthouse on Friday morning with new attorney Jose Baez by his side. Baez joined up on Weinstien's legal defense squad, as well as attorney Ronald Sullivan, who both just represented Rose McGowan in her criminal for cocaine possession.

Sources close to McGowan tell The Blast she is "not surprised" Baez is working for Weinstein, and believes the ex-producer has had "tentacles" into her life for years.

The actress, who claims she was raped by Weinstein during the 1997 Sundance Film Festival, feels it's highly unethical for her lawyers to work with Weinstein, but Baez told The Daily Beast, "After consultation with ethics counsel, we are certain no conflict of interest exists. We wish Ms. McGowan well with all her future endeavors."

Still, we're told McGowan thinks it is "insane how much of a monster Weinstein" is for going after her lawyers, even though the case is unrelated to her claims against him.

Along with Baez and Sullivan, Weinstein has also hired famed defense attorney Pamela Mackey, who successfully defended Kobe Bryant against rape charges back in 2004.
