Gabby Windey Addresses Her "Date" With 'DWTS' Pro Alan Bersten

In March 2023, dating rumors began to circulate surrounding former “Bachelorette” lead Gabby Windey and “Dancing With the Stars” pro Alan Bersten.

The rumors began after Windey and Bersten were spotted having dinner at Avra in Beverly Hills after the "Dancing With the Stars" live tour, which both cast members were participating in, came to an end.

Now, Windey is addressing that dinner date and is confirming her current relationship status with Bersten.

The former "Bachelorette" lead went onto the "Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe" podcast, where she finally addressed her relationship status and if she is dating Alan Bersten. 

"We're just friends," Windey told Bristowe on the podcast. "We were literally fresh off the [Dancing with the Stars] tour. I was in L.A. apartment hunting and he was like, 'Do you want to get dinner?' And I was like, 'F-ck yeah. F-ck yeah, dude!'"

Windey went on to say she looks at Bersten as a "little brother", adding, "I just love to watch him, though, so I'm not annoyed. I'm like, 'Oh, you're funny!'"

The reality television star first met Alan Bersten on "Dancing With the Stars" last season. Gabby Windey’s partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, had to sit out for one week during the last season of the competition show after testing positive for COVID-19. Alan Bersten stepped in for Chmerkovskiy so Windey could still dance and compete.

When competing on “Dancing With the Stars,” Gabby Windey announced her split from fiancée Erich Schwer, who proposed to her on the “Bachelorette” finale, which aired just a few weeks earlier. Quickly after the news broke, fans began shipping her to date Vinny Guadagnino from “Jersey Shore,” who also competed in this past season of “Dancing With the Stars.” The two had fun with the dating rumors and even began flirting on social media, throwing the internet into a frenzy.

Although things have been quiet between Windey and Guadagnino for the last few weeks, Windey addressed if there is anything going on between the two when on Kaitlyn Bristowe's podcast.

“It was like kind of a thing and then, now, I don’t know,” Windey told Bristowe in regard to the "Jersey Shore" alum. “We’re still talking. We came on tour for like, a week and we had a ton of fun together. And he’s just a good friend. He gets it, you know?” she said, “Like, he spent his life on reality TV. He’s really smart. He’s really funny. He’s hot.”

A few months ago, when at the People’s Choice Awards red carpet, the 31-year-old was asked if dating the “Jersey Shore” star is still on the table. To which Windey responded, “I think it’s a possibility, I don’t know we will all have to wait and see.”

The “Dancing With the Stars” runner-up continued to joke and said “Gabby, tan, laundry,” as a reference to the famous “Gym, tan, laundry,” catchphrase from the “Jersey Shore.”

At this time, it seems Gabby Windey is still single -- so "Bachelor" fans are hoping she makes an appearance on "Bachelor In Paradise" this summer, though that has not been confirmed.
