'Love Is Blind's Jackie Bonds Is Over The Drama And Is Getting Candid About Her Experience!

"Love Is Blind" firecracker Jackie Bonds is ready to look beyond the drama!

The 27-year-old dental assistant set out to find her happily-ever-after story on the fourth season of Netflix's blockbuster reality dating series. Bonds was was initially set to walk down the aisle with Marshall Glaze, but her instinct led her to end their engagement and explore her connection with Josh Demas again.

Navigating the waters of the series' innovative premise would eventually land Bonds in hot water after season four was released in late March; when fans learned Bonds had seemingly decided to skip her wedding dress fitting and go out for coffee with Demas instead, the reality star would be bombarded by negative social media commentary.

As the season progressed, Bonds would unapologetically offer her side of the story on her socials, regardless of the reception.

Weeks after the controversial live reunion was streamed on Netflix, Bonds continue to do the same; in her latest Instagram post, the reality star tries to showcase the positive and drama-free aspects of her unconventional "Love Is Blind" journey!

Bonds and Demas, who revealed they have been dating for a year, were absent at the live season four reunion. Vanessa Lachey instead interviewed the couple via a Zoom call.

The duo's non-attendance struck a chord with viewers, who didn't hesitate to make their feelings known on social media; multiple fans weren't happy with Bonds' absence, calling her out for what they believed to be cowardly behavior. Others weren't pleased with how Lachey appeared to 'go easy' on the duo, opting not to address the controversies Bonds faced during the season, including the coffee above date. Bonds took to Instagram and revealed she had broken up with Glaze before going out with Demas.

She would later speak to The Wrap, telling the publication that not only did Netflix advise her to talk to a psychologist before the reunion was filmed, the psychologist reportedly advised the couple not to attend the reunion.

"They called on a three-way [conference call], and they were kind of, 'Oh, due to your mental health, we think you shouldn't come to the reunion.''

Bonds describe the notice as being a "two-day turnaround. They told us the day before [the reunion]." (per The Wrap, via Us Weekly)

The reality star had been aware of the lukewarm social media reception of her actions during the reunion. After the special, Bonds penned a long post to her Instagram stories where she promised her followers she would "take accountability" for her actions and comments throughout the season.

She also thanked her ex-fiancé for denying the speculation that she had cheated on him with her current partner.

"I would like to start this off by taking accountability for my actions and words in my relationship between Marshall and me," she said. "I also want to take the time to express my gratitude and appreciation for Marshall clearing up that I did, end the relationship before meeting Josh at the coffee shop. I understand it was a quick transition from one relationship to another, but this relationship did not start as most do in the real world. To some, it may seem as if it was a quick transition. However, there is only a small percent of what can be shown on tv, and my connection with Josh was much deeper than it seems from a viewer's perspective..." she continued on the subject.

Bonds showed social media a more positive side to her experience in an Instagram post from Saturday.

Captioning a collage of polaroid photographs, she wrote, "22' summer of love. Summer of memories. This 'Love Is Blind' experience has been one of my most arduous journeys but the biggest blessing. My mother always told me you find out who your real soldiers are when your ship goes down. God gives his most brutal battles to his strongest soldiers. I am growing and learning every day, giving myself time and grace, and enjoying my life with my family and friends. I am excited for what my future has in store for me [heart emoji]," Bonds' post concludes.

Bonds and Demas have gone public with their relationship; the duo have both posted photos of one another on their respective Instagram accounts.
