Shanna Moakler is feeling emotional thinking about her late mother.

In her latest bid to honor her mother's memory, Shanna recently brought home one of Gail's favorite art pieces, which she showed off in a recent update. Taking to her Instagram story, the reality TV star shared a picture of a painting of an octopus.
The background consisted of nude and greenish themes, and the sea animal's tentacles were incredibly detailed. In a caption alongside the image, the 48-year-old wrote, "This was my mom's favorite art piece; I just got it to LA. It's very emotional for me 🥺."
After her mother unexpectedly passed on in January, the star took to her page to share some of their sweet moments. The actress has always been proud of her mother's accomplishments, even going as far as to upload pictures and praise her attributes.
When she is not gushing about that, she emphasizes the bond she and the 77-year-old shared while still alive. For starters, she once uploaded a screenshot of a text conversation between her and Gail, where the latter had sent a video of a snow-covered road.
Gail had written a heartfelt message in the exchange to her daughter, "We are supposed to get snow flurries today or tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it [.] I love snow."
When the former pageant queen responded with "Lucky," the older woman shared how content she was with her state of mind and body. She also expressed her love for her family and ended with a sweet message for her daughter, "I love you, honey."
The model reciprocated and wrote, "Good mom loves you too." Before ending the conversation, Gail added a final message, "I need my girl [.] you mean so much to me you have no idea. I am so proud of you. I am so proud to be your mama."
Before sharing screenshots, she uploaded several throwback photos of her mother as a young woman, expressing her grief and profound loss. A younger version of herself could be seen posing next to Gail in a series of slides. She captioned one of the photos with a touching message that read:
"This is the day I always feared losing my best friend, support system, and beautiful mom. I honestly can't find the words to express how loving, kind, and amazing she was."
The "Joey" actress candidly shared her struggles coping without her mother, stating, "She was everything I hoped to be, and I will miss her every second of every day. I love you, Mom. Kiss Vo vo for me and hug Mason. Please visit me in my dreams."
'Hollywood Exes' Star Shares Nostalgic Throwback Photo With Her Mother
Despite being known for her stunning looks and fit physique, she playfully revealed her cute side in this rare glimpse into her early years. As reported by The Blast, the brownish photo showed a young Moakler seated on a tiny tricycle while her mother lovingly held her and the vehicle, presumably to keep her steady.
The "Miss Nevada USA" executive producer was captured with her mouth wide open, gripping the handlebars of the tricycle. She added a touch of humor to the post, captioning it with "Me with my mom" and a laughing emoji, revealing her lively spirit from a young age that has continued to shine as she has grown older.
Her fun personality comes out a lot more during the holiday seasons, like the Fall season, which includes Halloween. She proved how much she loved the particular holiday when she took to her page to share creative suggestions to make the period memorable.
Among her plans was, visiting a pumpkin patch to handpick pumpkins and possibly use them to bake some pies. Additionally, she intended to enjoy some quality time with her family by watching movies, stargazing, apple picking, and making caramel apples.
She also expressed her desire to take hay rides, have a campfire, jumps in the leaves, attend fall festivals, and go "trick-or-treating" for Halloween.
