'Harry Potter' Star Emma Watson Reveals She Was Given Alcohol During Childhood

During a recent interview with the luxury magazine How To Spend It by Financial Times, "Harry Potter" star Emma Watson discussed her experience with alcohol, revealing that she had been exposed to its taste from a young age. She expressed surprise at the excitement other teenagers had for alcohol, whereas it was just another beverage for her.

"I was quite surprised when other kids got excited about drinking alcohol. My dad would give me wine and water for lunch since I was a kid. So I was pretty confused as a teenager, and everyone thought alcohol was forbidden," she said, per Daily Mail.

Interestingly, Watson is now embarking on a new career trajectory which involves launching a premium gin brand named Renais with her younger brother Alex, 30. This new career path comes after the "Beauty and the Beast" actress took a break from acting following her last film in 2019 and decided to explore her family's business in wine and spirits.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the actress shared that she learned much about love and womanhood over the past year thanks to Saturn's Return."

Watson celebrated her birthday with stunning black-and-white photographs taken the previous year. The snapshots showcased her impeccable fashion sense as she effortlessly dons different outfits, including shorts, dresses, and jackets.

Watson's birthday post was a heartfelt expression of gratitude towards her community and friends who have supported her throughout her journey. She thanked them for their unwavering support, acknowledging their pivotal role in helping her become who she is today.

"Today I feel (blue butterfly emoji). Thank you to the coven witches who were pivotal in helping me arrive at where and who I am now. You are my Avengers, and you inspire me and kick ass. It takes a village, don't let anyone tell you otherwise," she wrote.

She also gave a special shoutout to her brother, who she credited for helping her find humor in life's challenges. She thanked her glam team, including her makeup artist, hairstylist, and photographer, who helped her look her best and create stunning visuals.
