During a recent episode of her podcast, "Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley," Chrisley shared that she was in the know about Underwood's sexuality years before he came out, per Page Six.

"When we met the first time, I knew you were gay. Like, I knew it," the reality star said, recalling to Underwood about meeting him at the 2017 ACM Awards date.

She then joked that they had "no connection … whatsoever" during their encounter for "for obvious reasons," seemingly referencing the "Bachelor" alum's gayness as the reason for it.

Underwood also joined in on the fun, making a cliché comment often used by people who do not see a connection with each other.

He said, "When I say, 'It's not you, it's me,' I truly mean that. And obviously, I've proven that at this point."

Speaking further about Underwood's sexuality, Chrisley revealed that she told her friend about her suspicion, although the friend refused to believe it.

"I remember looking at [my friend] Emily, and I was like, 'He's totally gay,'" she recalled. "She was like, 'No, he's not, Savannah.'"

Upon realizing that she wouldn't get any headway with Underwood at the time, Chrisley found a way to leave.

She revealed that she returned to her room at the end of the award show after telling Underwood she was "really not feeling well" as an excuse to leave.

She did, however, wind up hanging out with her friends "and another guy."

Surprisingly, the admission did not "offend" Underwood, who told his host that he "would have done the same" in her place.

Four years later, after the award date, Underwood came out as gay in a "Good Morning America" pre-taped interview.

The reveal was quite emotional as he, the former athlete, discussed how hiding his sexuality for years took a toll on him.

"I've run from myself for a long time," he said at the time, per Page Six. "I've hated myself for a long time. I came to terms with that earlier this year and have been processing it, and the next step in all of this was sort of letting people know."

He also revealed that coming out has made him "the happiest and healthiest" he's ever been, then explained why he took the decision.

"There was a moment in LA that I woke up, and I didn't think I was going to wake up," he shared. "I didn't have the intention of waking up. I think that for me was my wake-up call."
