Jessica Simpson Incurs Fans' Wrath For Rocking SKIMS Bikini: 'Why Are You Supporting Her?'

Green with envy or simply a Grinch, Jessica Simpson's fans are divided over her latest wardrobe!

The multi-hyphenate star needs little introduction as a renowned singer, actress, and fashion designer. The entertainer revamped her status as a sex symbol following an impressive weight loss journey.

Thanks to her slender new figure, fans are frequently treated to gorgeous pictures of the Texas native. However, the 42-year-old's recent post did not receive its usual positive responses because of Kim Kardashian.

On April 25, the "Irresistible" singer updated her Instagram page with a stunning mirror selfie. The image captured the blonde bombshell with a busty display in a neon green bikini.

The two-piece ensemble featured a bikini top with a flattering half-cup design that gave viewers plenty to see. Matching the risque vibes, the bottom wear was modeled to the musician's lower half with two strings at Simpson's waist, keeping the tiny fabric in place.

Standing tall and looking undeniably hot in front of a body-length mirror, the "Employee of the Month" actress flaunted her toned and tanned figure while confidently striking a pose in a pair of pink open-toe platform shoes.

She completed the beach vibes by holding a neon green sarong, styling her blonde hair in gentle waves, and adding a touch of bling with a gold bracelet. Despite appearing makeup-free, the mother-of-three looked fantastic as she promoted the swimsuit.

The 42-year-old revealed through the post's tags that the beachwear came from SKIMS while the shoes were from her fashion line. Raving about the two brands in the caption, the "Angels" singer penned: "SKIMS Swim + @Jessicasimpsonstyle Shoes = Neon Energy."

Although the post received over 15,000 likes, the comment section criticized the entertainer's connection to the shapewear founder. "Will never buy Jessica Simpson clothesline again. Why are you supporting her? Lol!" a disappointed fan lamented.

Another person explained why the majority were against "The Dukes of Hazzard" star's post. "Great swim suite [sic], love it. I wouldn't wear Skims at all. That line belongs to the K Kardashian," the individual began.

"After the BALENCIAGA child trafficking and 'no comment from Kim K,' WHAT A DISAPPOINMENT. AFTER THAT, CANNOT BUY ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS," the upset fan declared before assuring Simpson she was doing an excellent job with her physique. 

More fans echoed similar thoughts, noting they supported the People's Choice Award winner but not the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star. "I love you, Jessica, but I can't support Skims or The Kardashians," a person explained.

"You have your line. Why would you support Kardashian," a fellow social media user blatantly asked the former teen idol, while another chimed: "She promoted and stood behind Balenciaga! Come on, Jessica; you're better than this! Will never buy Jessica Simpson clothesline again!"

Despite the hate against the blonde for supporting the KKW Beauty founder, a few brave souls defended the businesswoman. "Love SKIMS and love JESSICA SIMPSON," a fan declared, while another devotee called out haters by writing:

"For all of you saying that you would never buy or support anything Kardashian, good, then don't buy it, simple. You don't have to announce it; this is not an airport."

It is no surprise that Simpson strongly supports her fellow beauty entrepreneur, given the close bond they share outside the business. Per reports, the "Take My Breath Away" songstress developed a close relationship with the former Mrs. West, thanks to their children.

Their friendship began after the Texas native's daughter Maxwell connected with North at school. During an interview with US Weekly, the Jessica Simpson founder shared details of their daughters' friendship.

"One of Maxwell’s best friends is North. She is amazing. She is a great kid, and she will be a part of a change in this world."

Simpson noted that she loves living in the same neighborhood with the "KUWTK" stars while her husband, Eric Johnson, coached North and Maxwell's basketball team. The mothers then solidified their new friendship by supporting their business ventures.

Last year, the "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica" star shared a picture of herself and the celebrity stylist Natalie Saidi posing in SKIMS wear. In the photo, the blonde beauty flaunted her slimmer figure in a skintight brown catsuit while her companion rocked a similar outfit in black. The post was captioned: "LOVE TWINNING IN OUR @SKIMS."

Months earlier, Simpson was spotted rocking a nude-colored SKIMS dress as she stepped out with her two eldest children to visit the Los Angeles International Airport. The trip reportedly came days after Maxwell traveled to Wyoming for North's ninth birthday on Kardashian's private plane.

On her end, the "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" singer showed love to the reality TV star by giving out two nameplate necklaces from her Jessica Simpson collection. The names engraved on the jewelry read Kim and North, respectively.
