Meghan Markle Playfully Snubs Prince Harry's Kisses As Couple Appear On Basketball Game Kiss Cam

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took some time off to enjoy the NBA basketball game between Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies on Monday.

The couple appeared on the jumbotron to cheers from thousands of game viewers, who encouraged them to kiss, but Markle playfully shrugged off the prince's approach, instead grabbing his arm.

With King Charles III's coronation ceremony approaching, it's been confirmed that Markle would not be attending, instead opting to stay back to celebrate her son Archie's birthday.

The royal couple attended the NBA basketball game, where Markle, 41, lightly declined Harry's nudging for a kiss.

At some point during the game, the Sussexes appeared on the big screen and were cheered by thousands of fans to kiss, but the former "Suits" star opted to reach for Harry's arm instead of going in for a kiss.

For the outing, Markle wore a pink linen Sarah Staudinger suit jacket with matching tailored shorts, while Harry wore a navy blue suit with a white shirt and white sneakers.

Despite the lighthearted snub, the couple still packed lightly on the PDA as they snuggled up to each other.

The "Harry & Meghan" stars weren't the only celebrities that graced the game. Other A-list celebrities that were present include Kim Kardashian, Adam Sandler, and Sean' Diddy' Combs.

Prince Harry's quest to be present for his father's coronation comes after reports surfaced that he misses British life and is desperate to spend quality time with his family.

He reportedly made several frantic efforts to reach the new monarch to discuss plans for the coronation but was only able to get an audience once, as the king has been busy with state matters and preparations for the festivities.

A source told The Sun that the Duke of Sussex was "desperate" to come back for the coronation and spend quality time with his family. Prospects of mending strained relationships among the royals look promising as sources claim there is a "willingness and wanting to mend on both sides."

According to the news outlet, King Charles is "happy" with his son's decision and is "understanding" of Markle's absence.

According to The Telegraph, Markle wrote a letter to King Charles outlining her concerns about the royal family's unconscious bias. The letter was reportedly sent to the British monarch in response to her explosive 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which she stated that a member of the royal family speculated on how dark her unborn son's skin would be.

A source confirmed to Page Six about the correspondence between Markle and King Charles', saying, "Yes, there was correspondence, there were letters back and forth from the Duchess of Sussex to the king."

However, the source insisted that the communication happened two years ago and is not the reason why Markle isn't attending the king's upcoming coronation.

"The Duchess of Sussex is going about her life in the present, not thinking about correspondence from two years ago related to conversations from four years ago. Any suggestion otherwise is false and frankly ridiculous. We encourage tabloid media and various royal correspondents to stop the exhausting circus that they alone are creating," the source told the news outlet.

The "Horrible Bosses" alum will not feature in her father-in-law's upcoming coronation in May.

According to a source close to the duchess, per Telegraph, the conflict between the coronation date and Prince Archie's fourth birthday was "the main reason" for her absence.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex previously stated that they would prioritize their children over any royal obligations (something Prince Harry has repeatedly accused the royal family of failing to do).

Markle is also reportedly dissatisfied with the lack of resolution of her concerns about certain aspects of royal life, which drove her to suicide.
