In an interview with Page Six at the Homeless Not Toothless Hollywood Gala in Los Angeles, music icon Paula Abdul spilled the beans on the secret behind her ageless appearance. The 60-year-old credited her genes, saying, "I always say, 'Thank you, Dad.' My dad's Syrian and Brazilian." Acknowledging her lucky genetics, Abdul clasped her hands in prayer and gazed upwards, lovingly showing gratitude to her late dad.

The Grammy winner also credited her late mother, Lorraine M. Abdul, with whom she shared a strong bond. Paula appreciated her mother's fair complexion, which added to her natural beauty, stating, "My mom had [a] beautiful fair complexion." She admitted to being fortunate enough to have inherited "the best of both" her parents' genes, giving her a youthful appearance.

For the Homeless Not Toothless Gala, Abdul wore an exquisite crimson gown adorned with sparkling diamond jewelry. She made a grand entrance at the Beverly Hilton Hotel to support the nonprofit organization established in 1992 to provide dental care for disadvantaged communities in Los Angeles, including veterans, the homeless, foster youth, and low-income individuals.

In her interview with Page Six, the "Straight Up" singer said, "It's a wonderful cause. Anything that can give people self-esteem and strive to be … a part of the world, living, working, and giving them that confidence to do that starts with a smile." 

"Once they've established that … they're comfortable, they're just smiling, they have a new outlook on life, and it changes the trajectory of their life," she added.

As the evening's special guest, Abdul announced the silent auction and introduced the talented Taylor Dayne, who gave an unforgettable performance of her greatest hits. The star-studded crowd, including members of the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast, William H. Macy, and Sharon Stone, enjoyed the festivities captured for the upcoming 13th season of the Bravo reality show.

A singer, dancer, and choreographer, Abdul is renowned for her exceptional talent and stunning looks that have captivated audiences for decades.

In December 2022, the "Forever Your Girl" hitmaker shared photos on social media from her friend Kathy Hilton's Christmas party, where she looked young. Some fans expressed their disbelief and were quick to assume that her youthful appearance resulted from Photoshop and shared their opinions in the comments.

"Holy s–t!! She looks like a little girl," one fan commented in disbelief. Another one dismissed it, stating that the "editing here is embarrassingly obvious."

However, despite the comments, Abdul appeared unfazed at a charity event organized by "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Dorit Kemsley on Saturday. She credited her fresh look to her genetic makeup, saying, "I lucked out with [my father's] genes."

During the interview with Page Six, Abdul revealed that she had received numerous invitations to join Bravo's popular "Real Housewives" franchise. While she did not explicitly decline the offer, she did not confirm her participation, leaving the possibility open. "I've been asked many, many times," she stated.

The pop star also shared that the Bravo franchise was not the only one that had approached her, hinting that others had also contacted her. She teased, "I'm not gonna tell you [which]."

Even though Abdul is friends with many of the women on the show and has known them for a long time, she is happy being a fan from afar for the time being. "As much as I am the biggest fan and I love watching," she explained, "it's a lot of drama."
