"Real Housewives of Orange County" star Gina Kirschenheiter’s estranged husband appears to have the same luck driving as his ex after cops pulled him over just days after she was arrested for DUI.
According to Orange County court records, Matthew Kirschenheiter was pulled over by law enforcement on February 8 for "failure to obey traffic control sign." He will have to pay a fine of $238 for the violation.
Matthew's estranged wife has had a rough couple months while driving in the O.C., with Gina first being pulled over in January for blowing through a stop sign.
As The Blast first reported, she was them arrested earlier this month for allegedly driving under the influence after being busted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
After her arrest, Kirschenheiter apologized and said she was “embarrassed,” saying, “Bad choices have bad consequences. Mine are magnified bc I chose to share my life with you on a very public stage.” She added, “I wasn’t 'unlucky' I made a conscious decision to do something epically stupid. One time is one time too many. I am awake now. I can promise this will NEVER BE ME again."
Days after the arrest, Gina was pulled over again by police for allegedly driving while operating a cellphone.
Last year, Gina Kirschenheiter filed for divorce from her husband, Matthew Kirschenheiter, following nearly eight years of marriage. She cited irreconcilable differences for the split.
In her petition, she listed the date of marriage as May 15, 2010 and the separation date as March 3, 2018. The two share three minor kids and she asked for joint legal and primary physical custody.
Gina is seeking spousal support and wants Matthew’s right to seek support terminated.
Matthew filed court docs months later demanding the court not grant his estranged wife primary custody and checked the box seeking joint custody.
He did agree Gina should be paid spousal support but said he wants all assets he owned before the marriage, including his clothing, jewelry and personal effects to be awarded to him along with his post-separation earnings.
The divorce is ongoing.
