Gabby Windey rose to fame in reality television after appearing on Clayton Echard's "The Bachelor" season.

She continued her time in the "Bachelor" franchise when she and her close friend, Rachel Recchia, became the co-leads of "The Bachelorette," where Windey got engaged to Erich Schwer. Gabby Windey and Erich Schwer got engaged during the "Bachelorette: After the Final Rose"; however, they decided to call off their engagement just a few weeks after the finale aired.

Although the engagement was short-lived, Schwer said he did not regret anything and appreciated Windey coming into his life when she did. "[I] try to look at all areas of my life with a growth mindset and always learn from my experiences," he said. OK!.

Schwer had to deal with losing his father while navigating a new relationship, which ended in an engagement just a few weeks after he met Windey, which he admits is a lot of change happening at once.

"I will say that I struggled personally with my mental health during my last relationship and wish I could have coped with them better," the 30-year-old continued before adding, "I was learning how to navigate the loss of my father and a new engagement, all at once, and on a public scale nonetheless. Sometimes I felt lost and unmotivated, which, unfortunately, transferred into a few different areas of my life. I didn't have the tools I've since learned to handle the pressure and pain I was feeling."
