Zendaya is the latest House Ambassador for Louis Vuitton and started the partnership with a new bag campaign. The photos were shot for the brand's Capucines handbags by Mert and Marcus, the iconic photography duo.
During a new interview with Vogue, Zendaya said the campaign reminded her how much she loved their childhood image. She said, "I remember growing up around LV campaigns." She also revealed that one particular '90s supermodel gave her inspiration.
Zendaya said, per Daily Mail, "There was this one that I loved from the early 2000s of Naomi Campbell, and she's like sprawled out over a trunk. I can still see it. I can see the image in my head and remember seeing it in magazines as a kid."
The "Euphoria" star recalled she and her friends loved the brand's iconic logo. She said, "Everyone had the LV print on their Myspace page. At least I had that! Let me not try to put that on nobody else. That was me."

During the Vogue interview, Zendaya also spoke about how she loves using clothes and fashion to create characters in her red-carpet outfits. She said, "I enjoy clothes, playing with them, and creating new characters. That's what I find fun about fashion – its transformative quality, its ability to be like storytelling."
One of the many iconic looks from Zendaya which embodied a character was her outfit at the 2019 Met Gala. The actress dressed up as Cinderella in a Tommy Hilfiger dress that had light-up effects. Law Roach, her stylist, was dressed as her fairy godmother and flickered a wand to trigger the dress' light-up effects.

The beautiful Capucines bag is made from full-grain Taurillon leather and can be worn as a crossbody, shoulder, or top-handle bag. Zendaya told Vogue that she loves the bad for its multi-purpose features.
She said, "I prefer to have my hands free. So I have a small bag – like a crossbody, that I can take everywhere. It can fit my phone, lip gloss, and a little camera. I am one of those people that like to fill their bag."
The "Spider-Man: No Way Home" star also said the bag is "really beautifully made and durable" and that she only buys durable items. She added, "I'm not always the most responsible bag owner, so that I might be throwing it around, it might get some real wear in it, you know, because I want to use it, and it feels so sturdy."

Louis Vuitton premiered the campaign on its Instagram page. The caption read, "#Zendaya and the Capucines. #LouisVuitton reveals actress Zendaya as the new House Ambassador, showcasing the iconic #LVCapucines in her first campaign with the Maison."
Zendaya shot the photos at a beautiful French villa designed by famous architect Eileen Gray. She was styled by Roach, who assembled multiple stunning outfits for the feature. The dresses were all sleeveless and heavily flattered Zendaya's model figure.
One photo showed the actress in a body-con piece with an asymmetric, one-shoulder strap. A video showed Zendaya walking around the villa holding multiple versions of the Capucine bag. Her hair was styled into a rich brown and flowed down her waist.
