Halsey, known for her distinctive singing vocals and social justice advocacy, is marking the eclipse season with an out-of-the-blues confessional.
The Grammy nominee, who embodies a gothic fashion style, is now telling the world something spiritual about herself, causing more adoration from her fans.
Halsey Hints At Being A Witch In Entertaining Eclipse-Themed Instagram Video
Halsey gave her followers an insight into what happens when she is "slightly overwhelmed" using an Instagram reel during the eclipse season. The clip started with her resting her head and pretending to cry before the attached voiceover declared, "You're a witch; get the f**k up."
The command prompted the New Jersey native, who wore a white patterned vest, to raise her head before mimicking the voiceover, saying, "You right." The voice then said, "Go do some spells or some sh*t; why you are crying?" and at the same time, Halsey lipsynced, "You ain't never f**king lied."
Across the reel was a text overlay that reads, "The universe when I'm even slightly overwhelmed," In the caption, the 28-year-old announced, "Happy eclipse season." Over a million Instagram users have viewed the post, gaining 184k likes and counting.
Thousands also headed to the comments to praise her content, including a few who were taken with the new revelation. One follower remarked, "I would love some witchy ash content," while another expressed glee in seeing Halsey "finally" admit she is a witch.
A third fan gushed, "Miss gurl is a whole mood…a vibe…an entire entity." Another user joked, "Lmao, the accuracy, and facts," adding laughing and clapping emojis. Meanwhile, a fellow witch could not be more thrilled to celebrate the season with the "Closer" songstress as they wrote so, adding, "Happy eclipse season, love!!!"
A sixth commenter then exclaimed, "YES QUEEENNN," before a seventh proclaimed, "Universe here to remind us who we are – stay in your empress power, girl." Halsey's fans are no doubt always on cloud nine whenever she drops updates on her social media, just like they were when she showed off a gothic angelic look on her Insta Story.
In the shared pictures which The Blast reported, the "Bad at Love" vocalist's outfit comprised a white skimpy lacy dress with black patterns, paired with matching white socks and black Mary Janes.
The first picture showed her complete form leaning on the wall with both hands folded on her thighs as she looked away from the camera, tipping her head to the side. Her eccentric clothing accentuated her many tattoos, as seen in the second photo focusing only on her lower body.
In the snap, Halsey wore two garters on her thighs — lacy and white, while the other was leather and black. She also sported some rings and a blue wristband. Her third shot featured her legs, highlighting a small tattoo patch above her lacy socks, which she pointed out was "movie makeup, lol."
The Suicide Prevention Advocate Parted Ways With Capitol Records, Saying She Deserved Better
Earlier this month, Halsey made headlines after finally cutting ties with the record label Capitol Records, a year after they had a feud for not releasing a song she loved.
Per The Blast, the partnership lasted eight years and produced four studio albums. The "Now or Never" singer's managers, Jason Aron and Anthony Li, confirmed the end of the union in a statement that read:
“After eight great years, the decision to leave Capitol is bittersweet, but we are excited about exploring a new partnership and sharing new music with fans.”
Capitol Records also verified the discontinued partnership in a report explaining how everyone at the company was dedicated to helping Halsey "achieve their dreams and present their music to the world."
They expressed pride in the team's accomplishments amid the partnership and wished the "Eastside" songstress "the best in all their future endeavors."
Speaking of the tiff between the former partners, it was reported that Capitol Records did not permit Halsey to release "So Good" unless it was attached to a viral TikTok campaign.
She called them out on social media, insisting that she deserved better after stressing that everything was marketing to the label.
