Kim Kardashian Slammed Over Liquor Brand Collab: 'You Don't Even Drink'

Kim Kardashian is gaining criticism for her most recent collaboration with an alcoholic beverage brand after telling the world of her decision to stay away from alcohol.

Unsurprisingly, fans of the socialite wasted no time calling her out for the paid partnership, expressing disapproval for her hypocrisy.

On Thursday, April 20, Kardashian took to Instagram to upload two steamy images of herself dressed in a lacy black ensemble and sitting majestically in an ornate room. One of the slides showed her seated on a cushioned chair and partly leaning on the table behind her while holding a glass of Seventy One gin, the brand she partnered with.

The media personality used her left hand to hold the gin bottle’s triangular cap on the table beside a tray of containers for the drink. In the next picture, she was captured sitting on the table with her legs crossed but still holding the glass cup.

A chandelier could be seen above he while the gin bottle was placed close to her on the table alongside the same tray. Opting for emojis and credits, Kim captioned the post by tagging artist Mert Alas and adding a camera emoji, alongside a credit to Seventy One gin with a cup of drink emoji.

Although over 200k fans showered the update with likes, several took to the comments section to bash the TV icon for pretending to be a gin lover with the feature.  “We know you don’t drink, Kim,” one remarked while a second echoed a similar opinion, writing, “Now kimmy yk u don’t drink.”

A third follower asked, “Wait, do you drink” whereas a fourth mocked the collab, pointing out that “Kim don’t even drink tho.” 

“U don’t even drink alcohol,” another penned and at the same time one joked, “We know u don’t drink that.” A seventh commenter exclaimed that the businesswoman “famously doesn’t drink.” And an eighth Instagram user wondered, “Where’s the 818?” referring to Kim’s sister Kendall Jenner’s tequila brand. 

The liquor partnership may prompt her followers to recall how she struggled to hold down her alcohol during her sibling Kylie Jenner’s 25th lavish birthday bash in August 2022.

The incident which was documented on Kylie's Instagram Stories, showed the celebrant busy opening gifts when the SKIMS founder interrupted, asking “does anyone have a shot I can take?”

The question caused the room to cheer and scream — given that the mother-of-four is a teetotaler — before the camera showed Kim once more, looking shy yet stunning in an orange dress and being encouraged by the guests.

Toward the end of the video, she was seen downing a shot with the other invitees but that did not go so well for her. The budding lawyer could not handle the drink as she spat into a cocktail glass soon after with an expression of disgust.

She tried to speak as she struggled with the alcohol influence. “It’s so…,” she said, trailing off as she coughed and struggled to catch her breath.   

This isn't the first time the KKW Beauty founder has been roasted for being a hypocrite with the kind of ads she features in. Back in November, The Blast reported that fans slammed Kim for pretending as though she cooked for her kids while promoting Beyond Meat vegan nuggets.

In the uploaded clip for the partnership, she touched on her busy life as a mother and how she looked for “quick and easy options” to feed her family. Unfortunately, the ad was met with negative remarks as critics accused the celeb of claiming she actually handles domestic tasks in her home.

One fan lashed, You can endorse almost any product BUT food and cooking. We all. Know you don’t ever lift a finger on simple domestic tasks,” one person criticized. Another person sarcastically joked, “Of course Kim is cooking for kids herself.”

“As a busy mom… I hire. A chef and a nanny… multiple actually and then pretend like I feed them with these nuggets,” one person quipped. This frustrated fan questioned, "What on earth is she on about she has a personal chef who is on stand by 24/7 but she’s giving out food tips?"

While this follower advised, "Kim please you have a full time chef…. Leave the nugget commercials to the D list reality stars ?."
