Meghan Trainor gets candid about her pregnancy lifestyle.
Personal grooming during the third trimester is a genuine struggle for expecting mothers, but not for the “All About That Bass” musician, as she enlisted the help of her husband, Daryl Sabara, to get the job done. In a recent interview, the mom of one revealed that the actor’s shaving skills came in handy during the final days of her first pregnancy.
Meghan Trainor Has Her Husband To Thank For A Clean Shave During First Pregnancy
As fans await Trainor’s new book “Dear Future Mama: A TMI Guide to Pregnancy, Birth and Motherhood,” which explores the ups and downs of pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood, the 2020 "The Voice UK" judge chatted with PEOPLE and shared bombshell news about her first pregnancy.
She recalled her man stepping in to shave her legs – and everything else – when she was expecting their first child. “For the C-section, I don't know why, but I was like, 'I want a clear path. I want nothing in the way, so make sure it's gorgeous down there,' so they could see everything. And he did that for me."
Since the doting husband did not fail the first time, the Grammy award winner for baby number two will rely on his help again to stay hair-free. “I told him yesterday, ‘I’m at that point where I can’t see, I can’t reach, I can’t bend.’ He’ll do anything for me,” she added.
The singer-songwriter’s praises for her man transcended into his parenting and nurturing skills. She disclosed that he was supportive even after her delivery. “He changed my diapers; he would take the bloody underwear for me and throw it away... I had a C-section; how do I bend down to pick up my underwear and diapers?”
Since the sweethearts got introduced by her friend Chloë Grace Moretz, they have remained inseparable. The couple’s love story proceeded to Instagram shortly after a double date with Moretz and her then-boyfriend Brooklyn Beckham.
The “No” artiste declared their relationship openly with a sweet Instagram post on October 14, 2016. She captioned a selfie of both, "I ❤️Madrid … and this guy." A little while after that, the “The Last Chance Detectives” actor showed he was a keeper when he helped Trainor all through her second vocal cord surgery.
On “The Ellen DeGeneres” Show, she said she knew he was the one “cause he learned sign language for me, so I'd spell out words for him.” It was only fitting that Sabara proposed to Trainor a year and a half later, on the eve of her 24th birthday. She revealed the moment on Instagram, writing:
"He proposed to me under a tunnel of beautiful Christmas lights and surprised me with my family and friends. I'm still in shock. I've never been this happy!"
The budding relationship was still on the right track in the following months as they tied the knot one year later on Trainor's 25th birthday. For practical reasons, including her tour, the lovebirds waited about two years to start their family.
On October 7, 2020, the loving couple announced that they were having a baby during a TV appearance, and by February 8, 2021, they had become parents to a son named Riley. Earlier this year, on January 30, the lovebirds shared the news of their second pregnancy.
