Little Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock Set To Kick Off Solo Career With Big Budget Music Video

Leigh-Anne Pinnock flew to a location in Istanbul to prepare the first music video of her solo career. The musician who took a hiatus from the pop girl band Little Mix is ready to resume singing, but alone this time. Pinnock has high hopes for her future as a solo performer and described her new track as a "pop hit." 

The star has reportedly asked friends from Little Mix to help her along the way. Her bandmates plan to release new music individually, while Jesy Nelson, who quit the girl group, already has two singles as a solo artist. Her second single, "Bad Thing," was released on April 14th.

According to Daily Mail, Pinnock took a jet to the city in Turkey over the weekend to create a debut music video for her solo career. The 31-year-old is planning ahead of her launch, which according to a source, is close by.

In a statement to The Sun, a source close to Pinnock revealed that she wanted to debut her new project as soon as possible. They noted that her talent is "undeniable" and that the singer is dedicated to releasing an all-rounded project.

"The combination of the high-energy dance routines and the dramatic scenery and buildings in Istanbul will make for a truly stunning video," the source said of the highly anticipated music video. "She's locked in rehearsals now to perfect her moves and to make sure the video is everything and more for her fans."

While the "Boxing Day" star is taking on a solo career, she needs all hands on deck to achieve her goal of releasing great music. Pinnock has the help of some of her friends who worked with her in Little Mix to make this happen.

Some of these friends include Joy Duckrell, a dancer who helped the band in 2020. Another part of Pinnock's new journey is King O'Holi, the star's video choreographer whom she took along on her recent trip. The duo previously worked together on Little Mix's music video for "Sweet Melody."

Per Daily Mail, a music critic noted last week that Pinnock's new sound is "awe-inspiring." They referred to the star as "the full package" and compared her to the famous pop artist Dua Lipa. Lipa has received critical acclaim for topping several charts with her catchy tunes and relatable lyrics.

The insider explained, "Leigh-Anne has every chance to follow in the footsteps of Dua and become a superstar on her right now." Pinnock isn't the only "Little Mix" ready to kick off their solo career. Her bandmates Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall plan to release new tracks in 2023.

Despite their break from the band, there is no negative energy between the three band members, as they hope to avoid clashing in the future. The talented trio announced via Twitter in 2020 that they would take a break from the band. "We wanted to let you all know that we will take a break from Little Mix after the Confetti tour in April/May next year."

The "Leigh-Anne: Race, Pop and Power" star previously revealed she was working hard to release new music in her name. She shared a newsletter to fans promising to give them "as much music as" possible at the right time.

The singer explained that she was putting in a lot of effort even though it took a while to see results. Nonetheless, Pinnock hoped the project would "come together" and turn out okay. She said, "I'm so happy with what we've made so far, but I know there's much more to do."

Pinnock noted that other people were working hand in hand with her on the anticipated project, like "songwriters, producers, and creatives." She's very eager for fans to hear her music.
