Jussie Smollett's Family Arrives at Court to Support Actor for Bail Hearing

2:10 PM PT -- Smollett has been released from custody.
12:45 PM PT -- Officials claim Smollett developed a relationship with one of the Nigerian brothers after purchasing the designer drug, Molly.
12:00 PM PT -- Jussie was given a $100,000 bond and ordered to surrender his passport.
11:53 AM PT — During the hearing, text messages between Jussie Smollett and the brothers were read aloud to the court. Smollett was seen taking deep breaths, closing his eyes, and shaking his head.
Jussie Smollett is moments away from his first court appearance, and his family has traveled to Chicago to be by his side.
Smollett's siblings, including Jazz, Jake and Jocqui, arrived Thursday at the circuit court of Cook County in Chicago ahead of the "Empire" star's bail hearing.
Smollett's family has been very supportive of the star since the incident happened, and lashed out at the media in particular. "Birds of Prey" star Jurnee Smollett even quoted Malcolm X in accusing the media of making the "victim look like the criminal."
The bond court goes into session at 1:30 PM and Smollett will be among the cases heard.
