Madison Beer’s The Half Of It Coming Soon
The singer is stripping down in her book and targeting topics that nearly killed her on her pursuit back to stardom. If you’re a fan of Beer you know she has been talking out this book for me time now, in ft it took her so long to write because of the emotional journey she had to go on to finish it.
Beer is only 24 but the book titled, “The Half Of It” focuses on her career and her teenage years. “Less than two weeks (ᵕ̣̣̣̣̣ ͜ ᵕ̣̣̣̣̣ ˶ )♡ The Half Of It will be yours so so soon. my memoir, my story, my life and conversations i’m finally ready to have. pre order in bio !!! x,” she wrote on IG along with a phot of herself cradling a physical copy of her memoir.
An excerpt from the book was shared revealing that Beer attempted suicide and essentially hated being herself as a teenager. It got worse after her by chance meeting with Justin Bieber and becoming famous.
Madison Beer Was Triggered
The “Reckless” singer was a victim of online assault when nude photos of her were leaked. She was dropped by her label, her management, and some of her friends. A portion of the book covers this traumatic time in her life.
“I felt like I was my own worst enemy. I retreated more and more into myself, and it was the beginning of some of the darkest years of my life, starting at age sixteen and following me into my twenties,” she writes.
“There were many times—just like the night my nudes were leaked—that I felt so backed into a corner I thought the only way out was to end my life.” The snippet of the book was shared with People magazine.
Beer went as far as to detail the moments before her suicidal thoughts almost took over. “On a particularly heavy day,” she writes, “a million thoughts running through my head,” while she stood over the edge of a balcony.
Her eyes were going in and out of focus and she admits jumping was all that was on her mind. “I don't think I would have jumped. It was more about knowing that I could—that I had a way out if it became too much. Still, I lingered there for a long while, chilled by the fact that I wasn't all that scared of being up so high.”
Madison Beer’s Brother Found Her
The singer’s younger brother came in and saw his sister ready to take her own life and screamed for their parents. “The thought of killing myself was so normal to me at that point that I had forgotten it wasn't something everyone pondered on a daily basis,” she said of her brother’s reactions and her parent’s fear.
Madison’s mom Tracie Beer is proud of her daughter’s honest book which showed up in her IG comments. “This book will truly help so many people in so many ways! So proud of you for being so vulnerable.”
