Victoria Justice has addressed the rumors that she is jealous of her former Nickelodeon co-star Ariana Grande. Justice and Grande starred as Tori and Cat on the hit musical sitcom "Victorious" from 2010 to 2013.

While Ariana continued her Sitcom journey with the Nickelodeon show "Sam & Cat," Justice expanded her acting career with other films like "Zoey 101." The star has long avoided the jealousy rumor but finally cleared things up in an interview.

The rumors followed a statement made by Justice in a promotional video for "Victorious."

Justice addressed the speculation that she had an issue with the "God Is A Woman" singer in a recent interview with E! News. She recalled starring in "Victorious" with Grande and how fun it was to be on the set together.

Despite her reluctance to address the topic, the 30-year-old revealed disappointment with the longtime rumor that she was jealous of Grande. She explained, "I feel like it's this constant story of the media and people wanting to put people against each other."

Justice noted that the speculations were baseless and "irrelevant," especially over ten years since the show premiered. The star who reached out to Grande about it at the time revealed that the 29-year-old called it ridiculous. Recounting their reaction, Justice said, "We were both like, 'This is so stupid.'"

The jealousy rumors started when "Victorious" hit screens in 2010 with Justice as Tori Vega and Grande as Cat Valentine. During that period, the main cast made a viral promotional video for the teen sitcom,

During the clip, Elizabeth Gillies, who starred as Hollywood Arts' Jade West, noted how unique Grande's singing voice was. Justice then jokingly interrupted by stating that they were all singers in the fictional high school. She said to Gillies while crossing her arms, "I think we all sing."

Many viewers interpreted the exchange to mean that the "Perfect Pairing" actress was jealous of her co-star's talent. Over a decade later, Justice revealed that fans still put her and Grande "against each other," as they repeatedly have.

Justice revealed in a 2021 episode of the "Chicks in the Office" podcast that she had no bad blood with her former co-star. On the contrary, they support each other's careers even after parting ways. Justice noted at the time, "I love Ariana, and she's killing it right now." They also keep up via texts and are "really cool" with each other.

"Everything's all good," Justice noted. This followed the "Victorious" main cast's virtual reunion for their 10th anniversary in 2020. The video call featured the show's creator, Dan Schneider, Justice, Grande, Gillies, Avan Jogia, Leon Thomas III, Daniela Monét, Matt Bennett, and others.

Sharing a screenshot of the conversation, Justice wrote, "This made me happy, ten years later. Can't even believe it." Four of the main cast, including Grande, reunited again this year in photos that went viral on social media.

Ariana Grande's Career Took Off After 'Victorious'

Grande's Nickelodeon days ended with her time on "Victorious" and subsequently on "Sam & Cat" alongside Janette McCurdy. The "iCarly" and "Victorious" spinoff, which lasted only one season, aired shortly before Grande released her debut album "Yours Truly" as a singer.

The star has since dropped six studio albums and earned multiple awards for her music. Grande has earned two Grammy wins in her discography and number-one positions on several music charts. Besides her success in the music industry, Grande recently starred in hit films like "Don't Look Up" in 2021 and "Nothing Compares" in 2022.

She is set to play Glinda in the upcoming musical fantasy drama "Wicked Part 1" in 2024. Grande will star alongside Jonathan Bailey from "Bridgerton," Cynthia Erivo from "Harriet," and Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh.
