Justin Bieber has once again found himself in the bad books of fans.

The singer had recently taken to Instagram to praise singer Frank Ocean's Coachella performance despite the setbacks that left fans less than entertained.

Fans slammed Bieber, telling him he should be brave enough to publicly discuss how the performance was subpar rather than defending Ocean.

Some also called him hypocritical for quickly defending the two-time Grammy award winner but seemingly refusing to comment on the feud between his ex, Selena Gomez, and his wife, Hailey.

Justin Bieber 'Was Deeply Moved' By Frank Ocean

Taking to his Instagram page, Bieber lauded Ocean's Sunday performance despite thousands of fans already deeming the show quite controversial.

The singer wrote a glowing statement to express his feelings to his 286 million followers about how "blown away" he was by the 29-year-old pop star, who last performed in public six years ago.

Bieber also described Ocean's "artistry" as "simply unmatched" and praised "his style, his taste, his voice, his attention to detail."

He added, "I was deeply moved. It made me want to keep going and get better as an artist. He continues to set the bar high and gave me a night I will never forget! Thanks Frank."

One Twitter user reacted to Bieber's remarks, saying, "I don't know Justin, I think you're (and most of us) just too enamored with him as an artist to accept that he put on a disappointing show, because that's what that was."

A second person said, "It's ok to say it wasn't a great performance, don't understand the need to defend him."

Others seemed to call Bieber a hypocrite for being quick to defend Ocean but keep quiet about the barrage of verbal attacks his wife Hailey has received in recent times from fans of his ex, Selena Gomez,

One fan said, "This man is so fast when it comes to praising others but can't even defend his own wife. Crazy," while another commented, "He defending frank more than he defends his own wife lmao."

While Ocean's vocals received praise as he performed his discography, repeated gaps between songs and concerns that the artist was not really visible to the audience left most fans unhappy.

Multiple concertgoers complained about the poor stage lighting and that parts of the stage arrangements only served to obstruct the singer rather than give off the aesthetics it was intended for.

The singer also reportedly arrived an hour late, after which he spent most of his performance seated, although it was reported that he might have been dealing with an injury before the event, per TMZOcean's performance was also not streamed on YouTube's official Coachella livestream, despite it being a headline performance.

Unsurprisingly, fans were quick to compare the flop with that of Bad Bunny and Black Pink, who headlined Coachella on Friday and Saturday nights, respectively, and were streamed online.

Despite the setbacks, fans did leave the event with a bit of positivity as the two-time Grammy Award winner teased that he might be dropping new music soon.

Ocean last released music in 2020, when he dropped two acoustic songs. Prior to that, he put out his last studio album, "Blonde," in 2016. He was also set to headline Coachella in 2020 before the event was postponed by COVID and brought back in 2022.

"I have missed you. I want to talk about why I'm here, because it's not because of a new album… not that there's not a new album," the singer said sometime during his performance, per People.

Ocean also paid homage to his late brother, Ryan Breaux, who died in 2020 at age 18 during a car crash, speaking of the times they came to Coachella together.
