Jackie Bonds Wants To 'Take Accountability' After 'Love Is Blind' Season 4 Reunion

Jackie Bonds started dating Josh Demas pretty quickly after ending her relationship with Marshall Glaze leading to some fans to speculate that she cheated on Marshall during season 4 of "Love Is Blind."

Over a year after the show wrapped filming, Jackie and Josh are still together and decided not to attend Sunday's reunion in person. Although they did a quick video Q&A with co-host Vanessa Lachey, many fans were upset that Jackie did not take accountability for the hurtful things she was filmed saying to Marshall during their relationship.

Shortly after the reunion aired, Jackie took to Instagram to "take accountability" for what she said and did towards Marshall and thank him for clarifying that she is "not a cheater."

In a lengthy Instagram post, Jackie thanked Marshall for saying that she was not a cheater before apologizing to him and the public for her "actions and words."

"I would like to start this off by saying sincerely apologize and take accountability for my actions and words in my relationship between Marshall and I," Jackie began. "I also want to take the time to express my gratitude and appreciation for Marshall clearing up that I did in fact end the relationship before meeting Josh at the coffee shop."

"I understand that it was a quick transition from one relationship to another but this relationship did not start as most do in the real world," she continued. "To some it may seem as if it was a quick transition, however there is only a small percent that can be shown on tv and my connection with Josh was much deeper than it seems from a viewers perspective."

"I also would like to thank Marshall for taking accountability the derogatory comment that was made off camera," she added. "I would also like to apologize and take accountability for my disparaging remarks as well in those leaked messages. It was tasteless and disrespectful to speak about anyone that way."

Jackie seems to be referring to the leaked messages where she makes hurtful comments about Marshall and insinuates that he might be gay.

"It was never a battle between Marshall and I," she continued. "I just wanted to clear the timeline of the events that took place as it looked as if I was a cheater and starting one relationship before leaving the other."

"I am thankful that Vanessa Lachey allowed me to speak my peace and take accountability for my actions," she went on. "All I can do is learn and grow from this experience. Like Marshall said at the reunion we both deserve happiness, peace, and to be able move on from what transpired last year."

"Marshall and I have personally apologized to each and also took accountability for our actions and have moved on. I would also like to apologize and take accountability to the public as it was done on the show for everyone to see," she concluded. "Actions speak louder than words."

Many fans didn’t really accept her apology. “This literally doesn’t change anything, you still wrong for not communicating about not going to the dress fitting? Still wrong for keeping the ring?” one fan asked. “Still wrong for trying to emasculate that man on national tv? Still wrong for doing the show for clout? Still wrong for linking with Josh as quickly as you did idc, y’all were in the REAL WORLD at that point and couldn’t even wait to once again embarrass Marshall. You didn’t have any regard for his feelings at all and you said that out of your own mouth. Like bye fr.”

“I don’t feel as though this apology is fully taking accountability for how carelessly you handled yourself. You had a complete disregard for Marshall’s feelings. It sure looked like he was surprised you didn’t show up for your dress fitting,” another follower wrote. “That should not have been a surprise to him. Also, you saying he wasn’t manly was so damaging. You didn’t need to say those words. I personally feel Marshall is very manly in the ways that count.”

Many fans felt that it was “tasteless” that she decided to keep the ring Marshall gave her after he asked for it back. “Give back the ring. To production or Marshall,” another follower chimed in. It doesn’t matter but grow up and give it back. It’s tasteless and embarrassing to hold it hostage for no legitimate reason.”
