News broke last week that U.S. law enforcement is not willing to charge the “friends” of Robinson who were seen on video beating her up before she was announced dead in Mexico while on vacation.

Her family is absolutely disgusted and upset with the decision and are now considering seeking justice via a civil lawsuit. The North Carolinian's mother and sister Sallamondra and Quella, respectively, spoke with TMZ.

They revealed how they are coping in the wake of the decision and the possible next steps to get justice for their daughter and sister. It’s frustrating for the family that the case has been closed and there is no one being held responsible seeing as there is a whole video.

The family is also unsure of how the United States has come to their decision and why their findings are so vastly different from the findings of the Mexican authority.

Shanquella Robinson's Body Had Two Autopsies

The first autopsy was done in Mexico where the 26-year-old died. The findings there revealed that she had “severe spinal cord injury” and instability of her vertebrae. All this led them to believe that she suffered some kind of trauma that led to her death.

The video shows the possible trauma that occurred. Robinson is being beaten up by her so-called friends while one films and eggs them on and another one stands by and watches. Robinson appeared unstable on her feet and after one severe blow it's evident to see she is struggling to get up off the ground.

Meanwhile these “friends” are still slapping, kicking, and punching her. She is reaching out for a hand to help get off the ground. It’s a rough video to watch and we don’t recommend traumatizing yourself, especially seeing as justice has not been served.

U.S. investigators see the young woman’s death differently, after their own autopsy they have ruled her death inconclusive. Despite the swelling that was visible in the brain and the video that went viral online, they just couldn’t determine how the young lady passed away.

The family obtained a lawyer once they realized things were going in a weird direction with the investigation, plus their loved one passed away in another country. Sue-Ann Robinson who is not related to the family tells TMZ that justice has not been served.

She insists the family is not giving up and they will go to great lengths to get the justice they believe is deserved for Shanquella. The family’s strategy is to push elected officials to do something about the horrible situation.

They want the case reopened and they were offered to have Shanquella’s body exhumed again but they were unwilling to do that to her. Via the family lawyer, they have also shared that they know some of the people who went on vacation with Shanquella.

They considered some of them good family friends at one point, but now they believe they know more than they are telling.
