At Trail's End, Guests could "feast on a down-home breakfast or dinner—served family-style—at this tasty Frontier mainstay." Unfortunately, the restaurant is now permanently closed as Disney prepares to make way for a new quick-service restaurant, which will open sometime this summer.

Fans took to social media to say goodbye to the restaurant as they had made many memories there.

"Breakfast at #trailsend on their last day. #fortwilderness #mickeywaffles," one Guest wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of Mickey waffles and scrambled eggs.

Another Guest had the chance to visit Trail's End for the last time on their vacation last week, to which they shared, "We're here for our last visit at Trail's End in Fort Wilderness Campground. We will miss the beautiful walk, delicious strawberry butter, and amazing collection of staff. But we found where our waitress is going next (after 19 years of service), and we'll see her at one of our other breakfast favorites, Whispering Canyon!"

The Disney fan continued, "Change is always hard, but seeing what Disney does with them is exciting. Excited to see what's next. Until then, we'll tip our hats to Trail's End."

Disney plans to open a new quick-service restaurant this summer. In the meantime, Guests staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness can utilize P&J's Southern Takeout mobile ordering and The Chuck Wagon food truck for food options. Or, if available, Guests can secure a reservation for the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue, a dinner show located at the Resort.
