92-year-old Academy Award-winning filmmaker Clint Eastwood is assembling an impressive cast for his next film, "Juror No. 2." Per The Hollywood Reporter, thespians Nicholas Hoult ("Renfield," "The Menu") and Toni Collette ("The Sixth Sense," "About a Boy") are in the process of joining the cast for Eastwood's upcoming legal drama.

The upcoming legal drama is set up at Eastwood's longtime studio home of Warner Bros. Pictures. Eastwood has reportedly spent months looking for the right combination of actors and has been in talks with Hoult and Collette for weeks. Both actors reportedly received official offers for the film on Thursday (Apr. 13).

The film is reportedly set during a murder trial and follows a juror (Hoult) who realizes that he may have caused the victim's death. Hoult's character must now decide whether to manipulate the jury to save himself or reveal the truth and confess. Collette is expected to portray the prosecutor.

Eastwood is looking for a mid-June start date for the production of his film. He will celebrate his 93rd birthday on May 31, so he'd be 93 by the film filming starts. His last movie was the 2021 modern western, "Cry Macho," released in 2021. Eastwood also starred in the movie and produced and directed the film.

THR indicated that Eastwood was looking for one last project to ride off into the sunset, seemingly meaning that this could be Eastwood's final film. After finding Jonathan Abrams's script, he decided this was the movie he wanted to work on. Additionally, THR reports that the film had some rewrites to adjust the characters' ages in the script and to add a supporting role. Eastwood has been working on casting for the film since late 2022, with Academy Award winner Charlize Theron in talks at one point to star.

The legendary filmmaker and actor will also produce the movie along with Adam Goodman, the former production president of Paramount and now producer who runs his banner, Dichotomy. Tim Moore, Matt Skiena, and Jessica Meier are also producers. The script has reportedly been kicked around Hollywood for about 15 years by The Gotham Group. The Gotham Group's Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Jeremy Bell will serve as executive producers.

Eastwood made his feature directorial debut with the 1971 psychological thriller, "Play Misty For Me." In 1993, Eastwood took home his first Oscar wins for Best Director and Best Actor for the movie, "Unforgiven." The film also took home Best Picture. He won the Best Director award again in 2005 for "Million Dollar Baby," which also earned him another golden statue for Best Actor and Best Picture. His films "Mystic River," "Letters From Iwo Jima," and "American Sniper" were also nominated for Best Picture.

Hoult is currently starring in the new horror comedy mashup, "Renfield," released in theaters on Friday (Apr. 14). He's also expected to star in another vampiric film, "Nosferatu," for filmmaker Robert Eggers. He will star in the movie opposite Willem Dafoe, Emma Corin, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

Collette won a Primetime Emmy Award in 2009 for Oustanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her show, "United States of Tara." She was also nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her work on "The Sixth Sense."

Eastwood's "Juror No. 2" has not yet an official release date. It will be released by Warner Bros. later on.
